Cozy, unique, historic registered cottage on the Corsica River!

The Captains Quarters was built in 1880 by local waterman, Captain John H. Osman. The Captain built 4 identical houses for the Captains of his fleet to enjoy. The Captains Quarters is registered with the Maryland National Historical Trust. This unique and cozy home takes you back in time, all while enjoying all of the modern amenities. Our guests can expect to enjoy coffee on the patio overlooking the Corsica River, games and a bar in the brick floor basement and tons of relaxation!

*Important Disclosure Regarding Steep and Narrow Stairs. Please note the following important information regarding the stairs in the house*

Steep and Narrow Stairs: The stairs in our home are original to the building and are both steep, narrow, and winding.

Use Caution: We strongly advise all guests to exercise caution when going up and down the stairs to prevent accidents or injuries.

Accessibility Concerns: Due to the nature of the stairs, individuals with mobility issues or disabilities should carefully consider this before booking. The stairs may pose a challenge and could be unsafe for those with physical limitations.

It was the coolest historical home ever! Well-appointed in every facet. Enjoyed the balcony and the comfortable Kracken's lair for our downtime. Very cozy bedroom. We visited Tilghman Island, St. Michaels, Preston, Kent Island Yacht Club for the Concours d'elegance and Harris Crab House. Highly recommend!

The property is tiny but lovely. Perfect for two people, maybe 3 in a pinch. The interior of the home is really well done, and the setting, on the edge of a river, is beautiful.
