Perfect for your family vacation any time of the year, this delightful, dog-friendly home features the Gunstock Mountain Resort in your backyard! Enjoy the spectacular view from the large deck of Lake Winnipesaukee and the mountains beyond. Upstairs, there are three well-appointed bedrooms. Each bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan for those warm evenings. Downstairs, there is extra sleeping on the two pullout sofas. The home also features a large kitchen and a comfortable living room, a private washer/dryer, a gas grill for warm-weather barbecues, streaming services, and wireless internet. The location is incredible - you will be conveniently close to other area attractions such as Ellacoya State Park (less than three miles), Mount Major Hiking Trail (seven and a half miles), shopping, and fabulous restaurants. Looking to spend some time at the beach? Ellacoya State Park is nearby and charges by the carload or you can visit Weirs Beach!

The house was just okay. Cleaning was questionable. There were some dirty items left when it was cleaned and some seeds or rodent droppings on the coffee table in the livingroom and in sheets left in a folded pile on the couch. The livingroom furniture needs a good cleaning. We didn’t feel comfortable sitting on it without covering it first. The online descriptions seemed a little unclear. When reading beach access the assumption is the beach is right there but it’s not even within walking distance. Also the views appeared to be only from the top of the house on the deck. The home is also right on a main road with a steep driveway and not much lawn area. The home has plenty of room and is okay otherwise.

We stayed for 5 nights and were very disappointed with this property. The upstairs windows had no nets—the screens were just left aside, and it’s not the guest’s responsibility to install them. The downstairs windows were filthy, and the couches were dirty and smelled strongly of urine, making the space very unpleasant. On top of that, there was a snake in the front yard, which made us feel unsafe.The listing states that the upstairs rooms have fans for warmer days, but it doesn’t mention that the fans barely work and do little to cool the rooms. Downstairs has no cooling at all, which made it extremely uncomfortable—especially concerning since the property allows dogs. If pets are welcomed, the environment should be kept both clean and cool for their safety and comfort.To make matters worse, shortly after we checked in, someone came into the garage to take the trash without notice. This caused a serious concern for our safety and privacy, as we were never informed that anyone would be entering the property during our stay.We contacted the host the day we arrived regarding these issues but didn’t receive a response until Thursday at 3 p.m.—less than 24 hours before our checkout on Friday morning. For the price we paid, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance, comfort, communication, and respect for guest privacy was unacceptable. This property is not ready for guests in its current condition.

Clean home and easy check out

The home was tidy, and the check out process was easy. I have stayed at places that left pages of clean up chores before leaving, and was glad this was not the case with this property.Also soaps, shampoo, body wash, linens and a few basic cleaning items were provided as well as tp and paper towels. The only downside was there is no ac. Rooms did have ceiling fans though.

Good location

Gave it 4 stars because, although the inside of the house was spotless and well maintained with all needed amenities, the outside of the house was horrible. The patio was really dirty. Dead tree leaves, branches, etc. Along with beer caps and cigarette butts on the deck floor. Landscaping needs a little TLC and they never emptied the trash from the previous guests. The trash was left in the garage in 2 trash cans, not even in garbage bags. Started to smell. There was trash and old construction materials left behind the house. I sent a message, but no response. The house is in a great location, close to a lot of things to do. To bad to property itself is not well maintained.

Disappointing and unclean

The house smelled horrible; it seems to have a mold problem. Couches were dirty, and the temperature was set to 50 degrees. It took the house two hours to warm up. Limited blankets; we could only find one. We walked downstairs and discovered three unmade bunk beds and a refrigerator full of food. We wondered if people were living there. The stairs only lock from the basement side and there is a door leading to the outside, so that did not feel very secure. I would not recommend this property.

Great experience

Everything was clean, organize and had plenty of everything we needed in kitchen, bathroom, etc. Thank you for making our stay for our sons wedding an enjoyable one.
