We had the best time staying here! We couldn’t find the location. Messages Brennan and he was happy to jump in a call to help us arrive. Not 10 minutes after we arrived we seen a bear on the deck. Host has everything you need for cooking. The best were so comfortable! Truly a remarkable place to stay.

This mountain getaway came clean and fully prepared for our girls weekend getaway. It was fully equipped with cups, pots, pans and even games. The hot tub was already warm and ready to use and check in and out was seamless with minimal effort required. The host was extremely reachable and answered questions quickly. We loved our stay!

Amazing!

We loved every aspect of it. Beautifully decorated. Communication with owner was amazing! We saw 10 bears close to the property so do make sure you lock you cars! Don’t send kids outside before you check!

“Bear” right at the end of the road

Brennan and Hannah have a lovely mountaintop home about 15 minutes from the Sugarlands Entrance to Smoky Mountain National Park—a perfect location to make the most of the national park and downtown Gatlinburg. The music icon-themed bedrooms were a big hit with our family and made staying extra fun with Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, and Elvis in tow. The mattresses were great too! We really appreciated having a convenient washer and dryer and accessible kitchen. As parents of young children too, we were glad that the back deck was not high off the ground, as seems to be more typical in this mountainous area. Bears were plentiful in the neighborhood. We enjoyed seeing them up close, but we needed to be mindful going in and out of the house for safety reasons. When questions and concerns arose, Brennan was immediately responsive, and we appreciated this. Enjoy!

Bears Retreat

Overall it was a nice stay. We got to see bears up close which was awesome and not good at the same time. You can't be outside with food or the bears will approach you. The fire pit had no seating and with the bear situation you wouldn't want to be out there anyway. Some pros and cons. The drive up ends up on a single car path (for the last quarter mile) that has blind curves and steep drop offs. Just something to be aware of. Hosts were great and very responsive. House needs a little more attention to details in terms of maintenance. Very secluded and quiet. Wish it had a little bit of a view. Trees block everything when the leaves are up. What you see in the pictures is what you get so I can't complain. The 3 community pools are not within walking distance and are not easy to get to wich made it so we only used them twice in 7 days. These are things that would have helped to know when picking a place to stay.

Sweet cabin near everything!

Host was great to communicate with prior to booking. Loved the decor - we were visiting for our ten year olds birthday at Dollywood so she loved the themed bedroom! House is in a beautiful area - close to all amenities and especially close to Ober Mountain which was super fun! Highly recommend!

Disappointed

To start of it was very dirty and unkept. Then things like no pillowcases on any pillows, dishwasher drawer broken, mold in tub and shower areas, walls were scary dirty, patio/deck covered in moss which was slick. Had to go purchase light bulbs because only a few in the home and some of those even burnt out. 6 towels, 3 wash clothes and two hand towels for a 3 bedroom sleeps 8. So so disappointed

Great place to get away

This is a mountain property as stated and it was definitely a cabin in the mountains. The location close to Ober was so convenient. The cabin was great with the layout. Loved the two bedrooms on main floor sharing a bathroom, very convenient. The bedroom upstairs was very nice even with it being open to the downstairs. We didn’t get to try the hot tub and a great bonus. The owner was absolutely fabulous in responding to messages. Totally recommend!

Great Chalet close to hiking and attractions

Our group stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time hiking in the Great Smokey Mountains. The Chalet had everything we needed to cook our meals and relax in the hot tub after hiking. The house was clean, beds comfortable, the host is very nice and responds quickly. We would come here again. There was a bear that visited us several times while there, so we had to be vigilant and watch for the bear.

Incredible Mountain chalet

We stayed here for one night as we were passing thru from NC to MI. This chalet is beautiful and we all said we wished we could stay for several more days. The house is nicely decorated, with a gorgeous loft bedroom with private bedroom, a hot tub and so many other amenities to enjoy. Only 4 miles from downtown Gatlinburg up on the mountain. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. The views are stunning to say the least.

We hope your family enjoys this place as much as mine! It’s truly a fantastic getaway spot if you’re tired of the fast-paced life. One of the things we love most is the location near downtown. You will not have to deal with the typical Gatlinburg traffic here. It feels very secluded away from any neighbors as well! This Chalet was renovated specifically for my family and for other families in mind.
