The Whistle Stop House is a comfortable, clean and convenient 2 bedroom, 1 bath, home on two levels, in Luray, close to all downtown activities. Sporting a 58 walk-score, which is amazing in a small town, this home is steps to dining, the wine bar, brewery, movie theatre, ice cream shop, art studio, shops and more. Close to Luray Caverns, Shenandoah River and Shenandoah National Park

This was our first time in the area, and we had a great weekend! The home was just what we needed. The location was perfect. We loved being able to walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and shops as well as taking the walking path along the creek. The owners were so responsive and gave us tips on places to check out while we were there. We enjoyed a sunflower festival too. We would love to come back!

Super location in downtown Luray

Hat a great time in Luray. Location was super convenient, quiet and spotless. The owner was responsive for every question we had! Would love to come back soon!

We had a great stay! The house is conveniently located near town- although it is a mountain town… so you walk downhill into town and have to climb back UP the hill! We did hear the train a handful of times. We did not find it obnoxious and our toddlers slept through it without complaint! The kitchen was well stocked, linens were clean, and the neighborhood is quiet. We were very comfortable!

Very nice place to stay near downtown Luray

The host was very helpful and gave us suggestions on hiking and getting food since it can be hard to find good spots in Luray. The house was clean and nice and we had no issues other than the bathroom door not locking.

Overall great stay

This was a great rental for a short hiking weekend for my friend and I. The house was incredibly clean, the kitchen was well stocked to be able to cook meals, and there were plenty of supplies offered (plenty of towels, toilet paper, etc). Two “notes”: the house is quite close to train tracks, and the train comes through as late as 9:45 pm and as early as 5:15 am. And the upstairs heater took some tinkering to figure out how not to roast with the bedroom doors closed. But overall we loved it and would rent it again.
