First and foremost the pictures do not do this place justice. When we arrived, the first impression was perfect, clean, spacious, warm, inviting and the views are remarkable. There is a simplicity about the property.. the views from the hot tub cant be explained… oh and by day two we were welcomed by an amazing family of deer..these little surprises given by Mother Nature will keep us coming back! We came to celebrate our 10th New Year together and we can’t wait to come back to celebrate anything else! If you’re thinking about booking.. do it- you won’t regret it!

Appreciated the great communication the host provided. We REALLY appreciated just how clean the cabin was. It was such a nice cabin to stay in for a quick 2-night get-away. It was the perfect layout and size for a cozy place for just the two of us. Hot tub was wonderful (and so clean!!!). The firepit with logs provided was amazing - something we do not have back home, and my husband really enjoyed building a fire both nights. It was very mesmerizing sitting out by the fire with a glass of wine. The bed was quite comfortable, and we both slept great. While we didn't get to see any wildlife while we were there, it was so neat to hear a fox "barking" the first night and then the "hoot" of the owls at night and in the early morning hours. Location worked great for us. We visited the new Buc-ee's in VA (only about an hour away) as well as drove Skyline Drive. I would absolutely recommend this cabin as well as the host being very easy to communicate with.

The cabin is beautiful the host is great!! Always answering you right away for any questions !! We will go back we just feel so relaxed and peaceful as soon as we get there. I would recommend this cabin to everyone

This place was fantastic, I would actually say it was better than advertised. It was clean, cute, and private. My only complaint is I think the bedding policy is unusual, with that said it was not a big deal at all. I would highly recommend this spot and plan to stay again.

Solitude- could not see/hear any neighbors except the owls at night! Spacious, clean, comfy bed. Everything as described. Nice to have grocery store relatively close.

Beautiful pet friendly cabin perfectly named as Solitude. I needed a place to get away from the city for a quick weekend getaway with my dog and it was perfect. I enjoyed sitting in the sun in the chairs around the fire pit, the hot tub, and just easing into my day watching the sun come up on the porch. I was extremely happy to find all of the chairs comfortable as I’m short and sometimes that’s an issue but I was able to relax with my pup. Just the short getaway I needed!

The name of the cabin fits it perfectly! It is very private in the woods. The view of the forest cannot be beat. Check in was very easy and kitchen is well stocked.

This place was absolutely amazing. It is so quiet and pristine, the town is really cool but the property itself is amazing. Really nice hot tub kept in perfect condition, I didnt hear a single car as its tucked away near the end of a road, the host was great about communication, the shower was really nice, the place was very clean and the property grounds itself were beautful. Fell in love with this place and will absolutely come back! My hope is that guests are respectful of the property and it continues to be a wondeful retreat

Woodside Cabins is family owned and operated. Olga and I have been in the vacation cabin business for 20 years and take great pride in our properties. I grew up in the area and we both have a deep love and appreciation for the Blue Ridge Mountains and our beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

Solitude is exactly what the word implies. As you drive back the driveway and enter a world of towering white pines you will feel the woods encompass you. Built in 2015, the cabin was designed to bring the world outside into the interior. Numerous windows offer exceptional views of the surrounding woods and a glimpse of the mountains through the trees. Come and enjoy a world you can only find in someplace like Solitude.
