Newly remolded cozy studio condo is perfect for couples or individuals who want to get away or looking for an adventure of Skiing or Hiking. Our cabin comes fully furnished and with all the comforts of home with a Queen size bed along with a blow up mattress (if needed) and free Wi-fi with streaming TV. The kitchen comes with all cooking essentials needed for a relaxing night in after a long day of adventure. You will be directly across from Sugar Mountain and a short drive to Beech Mtn, Linville Falls and Grandfather Mtn State Park.

Relax and unwind by the wood burning fireplace or on the deck overlooking nature with a backdrop of the slopes. Just under 400 sq feet, Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, enjoy Antique shopping, wine tasting and all the locally owned shops that Banner Elk and Linville Falls have to offer.

We did have a good stay at the condo but not without a few problems. We got in very late and had trouble getting into the condo and then it was very cold and no one had turned the heat on. Once we got a hold of the host he got us into the condo and then told us how to get the heat going. My only thoughts about the heat that if you know someone is coming you wouldn't have it totally off. Otherwise it was a very comfortable place.

Towel were stained, coffee maker did not work at all, deck roof leaks profusely and it appeared no one was in there for quite a while due to all the cobwebs everywhere. It was a nice place but needs some attention.

Good stay, as advertised

The condo is older, but it is cute. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. We loved the balcony and the owner communication was great. There was a little bit of a musty smell, but Im very sensitive to smells and always travel with a candle for that reason. After lightning the candle, I didn't notice. We had a hard time figuring out the AC, but we closed the screen door and opened the sliding balcony door and that cooled us off. We would stay here again.

Great time

Wonderful location, very nice small place as a good home base to explore the area. Only complaint was inability to change the heat due a broken nob on the unit. Otherwise, very sweet experience.

Sweet chalet near ski slopes

This is a great little studio chalet near Sugar and Beech Mountains. It was clean, stylishly decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. It was completely comfortable for two people and easily accessible to restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shop, and attractions. While the condo complex is a little dated, the inside of this condo has been fully renovated and is up to date.

Convenient Location

My wife and I stayed here to get some skiing in, and it was perfect for us. We enjoyed the convenience to Sugar Mtn, and the wood burning fireplace. The host was super accommodating and very quick with responses to questions. He was also on point with checkin instructions and guidance. Thank You!

This stay was deeply disappointing and stressful, largely due to the owner’s handling of multiple serious issues. We arrived to a unit that had not been cleaned after prior guests, forcing us to clean the property ourselves during peak holiday week with no alternative lodging available.The heating was inadequate for winter conditions. One unit produced little to no heat, and the secondary unit could not maintain safe indoor temperatures. Indoor temps dropped to the low–mid 50s overnight while outside temperatures were below zero. We slept fully layered, blocked drafts with towels, and I left at 3 a.m. to buy firewood out of concern for my family’s safety.Backdoor lock did not work. Looking at prior reviews, it appears this had been a concern previously that was still never addressed. Basic supplies for the fireplace, including fire starters, were missing, requiring another trip out in severe weather. When these concerns were raised, the owner’s responses became defensive and escalating, rather than focused on resolution.We ultimately left early due to safety concerns. The owner agreed in writing to refund the final night, then later reversed that decision, offering shifting explanations after checkout.The property may have potential, but winter readiness, cleanliness standards, and professional, good-faith communication from the owner need major improvement. I would not recommend this property for cold-weather stays or for families expecting reliable support.
