Surface Creek Sanctuary - your home away from home!

Take a moment to breathe at Surface Creek Sanctuary located right on Surface Creek in Cedaredge. Listen to the water flowing while you sit quietly on the patio, taking in the sky, deer, chipmunks, and the occasional fox that may visit. Or go visit any of the numerous nearby attractions - Grand Mesa, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, our quaint local small towns, ski slopes - there is so much to explore! This is our primary home and we thoroughly enjoy it. We are very proud to offer you this oasis for your vacation stay.

There are times I will be locally available if needed, but there are other times I may be out of town.

This home is set in a developing and growing neighborhood. There is a golf course in the area, and the home is located next to the Surface Creek Trail. We are a short walk from the small town of Cedaredge and only a 20-minute drive to the top of the Grand Mesa, where there are more than 500 square miles of forest and mountain to explore. The neighborhood is safe and quiet.

Guests will have access to the garage and there is parking for three vehicles in the driveway. Street parking may be allowed for short periods (<48 hours).

Fabulous hosts, beautiful home!

The Surface Creek Sanctuary was beautiful! So comfortable and accommodating inside, and the outdoor patio is heaven. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. We will definitely stay here again!

An amazing oasis

This property is exactly what they call it, a sanctuary! The owners have put a lot of time and energy into creating a blissful space to share! We couldn't have asked for a better stay and the hospitality was amazing!

A cozy getaway!

We loved staying here! The house was perfect! The owners thought of every detail and we were so comfortable. The location is beautiful and their outdoor space is perfect! My kids loved it. It is right on the river with the cutest library walk. We can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful Stay

What a beautiful location with accesses to so many places to explore! We loved the backyard and the stream and trail behind it. The house was like being at home with everything we needed and we were fortunate enough to meet our hosts and they gave great recommendations and it felt like we were taking with friends. We hope to be back this way again soon and look forward to seeing them again!

Stayed with daughters

A beautiful home with awesome accommodations surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay; it was like home away from home. The backyard offered glimpses of the wildlife (a young doe wandered through, and the 13-lined ground squirrels were fun to watch.) We would definitely stay here again. The hosts were very thoughtful and responsive. Trent felt like a friend.

Beautiful home, responsive and generous owners

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The owners couldn't have been more generous, including offering to come remove the outdoor furniture coverings after some inclement weather. I messaged them to let them know we had one more teenager than I was originally expecting and their response was to tell us that we could help ourselves to more snacks! They were kind and responsive. The beds were comfortable, the location was great. They do acknowledge that they have cats at the property when they're there, and I would just advise anyone who stays there to be attentive to that, as we had some minor allergy issues. Overall, a wonderful stay and a beautiful home.

We are a professional couple who decided to move to Colorado to enjoy the second half of our lives (post live-in kids!). We have two dogs and two cats who live in the home with us so please be aware of that before you book our home if you have severe animal allergies.

We love the mountains and the beach, and we lived in neither place! We decided the time had come to pursue our dreams so we found Cedaredge and bought this beautiful home.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Walking trail (2 miles out and back) out the back door following a lovely creek. Frequently we see deer and fox, and some have even spotted bear. The trail is well-used so don't worry about those bear too much!
