You have found your perfect beach cocoon in this lovingly appointed, ocean-view townhome. Enjoy the stunning ocean view right across the street from your living room deck and the private master bedroom deck. Even from the back of the house, you can sit in the beautiful new dining settee and enjoy a peek-a-boo of the waves across the street! Cross the street with your beach toys and walk only two houses down to spend a glorious morning on the beach. Enjoy all of the local restaurants, arts and crafts festivals, and pier fishing that Kure Beach has to offer at the Pier, only three-tenths of a mile away. The upper level hosts two bedrooms, and the main level is all about living, dining, relaxing, and cocktails on the ocean-view deck. Beautifully updated throughout, with custom cabinetry, shiplap details, new fixtures, and appliances, let Happy As A Clam soothe and cool your soul with its spa tones and gentle hospitality. Do you need to bring more people? Rent Happy As A Clam as a whole house to add on the lower level with two more bedrooms with beds for 6 more people, another bathroom, and a second kitchen.



Ground Level: 

Parking pad for two cars, size dependent.  Grassy backyard. Shared ground-level entry door with indoor stairwell to your private entrance. 



Level 2:

-Downstairs Unit does not have an HVAC designated thermostat. Room temperature must be maintained at a comfortable temperature for both units by the upstairs thermostat.

Formal dining room table with eight seats plus a high chair for baby. Door to the balcony overlooking the backyard and neighborhood.

Newly remodeled open concept, fully equipped kitchen.

Living room with sectional sofa and huge 85” High-Definition TV. Wide deck with ocean view.



Level 3:

Guest Bedroom 4 with Queen bed, TV, and ensuite bathroom with shower/ tub combination. 

Primary Bedroom Suite with King bed, TV, Ensuite bathroom with a gorgeous marble shower, and a private balcony with generous ocean view.

Two extra cots in closets. (Sheets for the cots are not in the final price: if you desire sheets for the cots, please send us a message and we will add those for you at $23 per bed.)



Parking: Parking pad and gravel spot for three cars, size dependent. No parking on the grass.



Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and laying on the end of the beds. 



Rental Policies:

In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.



Things to bring:

Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.



Arrival/Departure:

Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm

Check-out is by 10 am. 

We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Pet Policy:

No dogs allowed.



We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.

Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!
