Cedar House Retreat

Welcome to Cedar House Retreat! Gather your friends, or bring the whole family to this beautiful home. This retreat home has a spacious open floor plan with two owner's suites, a home gym, a sauna for two, a home theater space, access to two lakes, one block from a public beach on Lake Minnewashta, and a park with a playground, tennis court, and pickleball courts.

The space
Open spaces with amazing lake views from both owner’s suites, main level living room and basement living room. The basement has two main spaces, a finished living room with a fireplace, 55” 4K TV, game table… and a partially finished recreation room that is just over 1,000 sq ft with amazing gym equipment, a two-person sauna, and a large sectional to watch movies on the 98” projection screen.

Guest access
You will have full access to the entire house. There will be a few locks on some closet doors for storing personal property and cleaning supplies.

Only registered guests are allowed to stay the night, and a maximum of 8 cars may be parked overnight in the garage and/or driveway.
No sound amplification equipment 10:00 pm - 7:00 am; No noisy parties or gatherings that disturb neighbors. No illegal substances or smoking allowed.
Workout equipment, sauna, bikes, paddle boards and kayaks available for free, we just require a signed waiver. We need first and last name and email.

The location and house was absolutely outstanding! We had our family with 2 under 3 years old, my friend and my parents stay and we all had so much room!! Everything was immaculately clean and there was a park in walkable distance. This has been our favorite VRBO we have ever stayed at! The owners were very accommodating and would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Cedar house was the perfect space for a college roommate reunion. We enjoyed sitting on the deck together and lounging in the large living area. Everything was so clean and it was lovely to not have the responsibility of washing towels and linens before we left. The kitchen could use some serving/mixing bowls but other than that, we had everything we needed!

Amazing family getaway

The photos of the house don’t do it justice. What a beautiful home. We had 11 guests from ages 21 to 88. The location is amazing, who doesn’t want to wake up to look a beautiful lake. The house is well stocked with pots, pans and dishes. The “toys” to entertain the family was wonderful. Other than shopping we had everything we needed. Couldn’t be happier with the choice for our family. Thank you for letting our family enjoy your place.

Amazing staycation

This place was truly an amazing rental and the hosts Mike/Stacy are truly what you look for in hosts when you need a place that feels like home. Very spacious and the photos are just a sample size of the magnificent of this rental. They made it very accessible and they were responsive just as quick as they could be with all of our needs/conviences. Would recommend this spot to any and everyone. 10/10 all around!!!

Spacious house with great amenities!

We enjoyed this clean, very spacious house for our family Christmas get together. Appreciated the Christmas tree and decor! Great hosts with excellent communication! We loved having the weights and movie room to use. Well equipped kitchen and the two fridges were nice to have. Wonderful stay, would definitely book again!

Great holiday gathering space!

"Roughing It" At Red Cedar - NOT!

Wow - the perfect home to have our reunion - a beautiful,large living room for conversation, kitchen and dining room to savor meals and drinks, a deck to appreciate the lake and nature and enough beds to have a great sleep. There were so many other amenties that we didn't have time to appreciate - next time!

Relax, Kick Back, and Have Fun!

This is a gorgeous property that easily held 9 adults - with room for more. It's spacious with lots to do, plus it's near many fun activities and restaurants, but has a quiet feel to it. Stacy was amazing to work with - seriously one of the best VRBO hosts that I've ever had. We would definitely go back again!

This short-term rental is the only one we have, which allows us to focus on providing the best possible experience for our guests. We love this house. We have lived here for many years, and when we decided to downsize, we knew this home would make an excellent place for families and friends to come together and celebrate. The location, amenities, and size of the house provide many opportunities for our guests.

If you love sunsets, you will get your fill as you sit on the deck, looking over the lake, watching the sunset while the sky catches fire in color. Are restaurants your thing? We have great ones, all within 10 miles. There are golf courses, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Bavaria Downs Wedding Venue, Paisley Park, Lake Minnetonka, and fantastic hiking/walking trails - all a short drive away. If you prefer to stay in and relax, we have all the room and amenities you need to make the most of your visit.
