Peaceful getaway with friends

As soon as my friends and I entered the house, we felt right at home. If you’re looking for a cozy place to stay, this is it! The property grounds were gorgeous and there was plenty of it to explore. Needless to say, we had a great time!

Nice house and grounds.One bed was great. The hide-a-bed was terrible. The bunks were fine for children but not adults.

Beautiful property with lovely ponds and an excellent very large patio area. Beautifully landscaped. I walked around the ponds every morning and then had my coffee on the patio watching the butterflies, dragonflies and hummingbirds! Very, very peaceful, quiet setting. We were in town for a family reunion so spent very little time at the property. We plan to return in the future to explore more of the area and to relax on this wonderful property! We did not cook while we were there but the kitchen is very clean and well equipped! The host was very responsive to my questions. I highly recommend this property!

Nice space !

Nice little guest house! Loved the patio as well and the large yard to walk the dog. It was pretty well stocked with most things that we needed for our two day get away. Just brought food and some other small necessities. Very close to areas to hike, and arbor hill winery.

Loved and we will be back

So peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed walking the vineyard and ponds with the fish and the view from the top of the property was amazing.

Wonderful Xmas weekend!

We had a wonderful time enjoying family from out of town at this beautiful guest house! The apartment was very clean and comfortable! We had warm weather so we enjoyed a roaring camp fire every afternoon on the spacious patio. Thank for the memorable stay!

Gorgeous retreat

We had a perfect family weekend. All amenities are provided and the place is beyond beautiful!! We relaxed by the ponds and enjoyed coffee on the patio every morning. We explored Naples and had ice cream at Lynnie Lou's and did a short hike at Grimes Glen.

House with a private park

Thought I was renting a house to stay at. Turned out to be a house to stay at, with a beautiful, large private park in the backyard. Met Flame, a very friendly golden that played with our dog.

Delightful Spot

Though a bit out of the way for many Finger Lakes attractions, the guest house was a delight both inside and out. Spacious, clean, great patio perfect for star gazing. Yes, you have to drive a bit to get anywhere (30 minutes to Hammondsport, one hour to Watkins Glen) but who cares -- the scenery along the way makes the ride a pleasure. Just delightful.

Great relaxing stay

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. The property is beautiful. My 2 small dogs roamed the very large property including the 3 ponds. We even fished in one of the ponds from the pier. The location was perfect. 6 mins from a launch for your boat or kayak. Also a short drive to restaurants, winieries and breweries. The host was very responsive prior to our trip and gave suggestions on what to do. Hope to return soon.

Beautiful and charming Getaway

My husband, 19 yr old daughter, Max the labradoodle & I stayed @ the cottage for 4 days. It was our first trip to the Finger Lake's area and we had a terrific time. The accomodations were excellent and the amenities went beyond the usual. Everything from bottled water, toiletries and even wood for outside fires was provided. The "personal touches" add a very family type feeling to the cottage.

Family fun!

Our family loved our second visit to the "Guest House" as much as our first. We spent hours at the ponds fishing. The kids enjoyed the new ping pong table. So much to do. Carolyn has added many thoughtful touches to this rental and it feels like home. We can't wait to return.

Finger Lakes vacation

The entire experience was terrific. The property highlights were the double patio areas that could seat at least 12 complete with a Hot Shot fire pit, a real nice propane grill, plenty of acres to walk about. Access to the lake was basically a 5 minute drive to the boat launch that also has Kayak launch attached. If you like wine there are plenty of wine tasting spots to visit. Overall super and the property contact is great.

We enjoyed our stay in the Naples area! Beautiful village with many excellent restaurants and wineries. The property was clean and easily assembled. The property was decorative with beautiful antiques. Recommendations: new couch for sure and need places for 6 people to sit and enjoy. Cluttered with to many other furniture pieces and decorative decore.

Beyond Beautiful

Jim's South Bristol Guest House was over & above anything we imagined. Manager was waiting for us to arrive; had a wonderful 'Monica's ' pie for us to enjoy. Our dogs were welcome, & house was well-stocked w/supplies we would need. House was so lovely & very homey. The property was just magnificent; the views, the grapes, ponds, crystal clear night sky - all were things I won't forget.

Cozy Spot near Lake Canandaigua

The expansive outdoor portion of the property, especially the back patio with the fire pit, makes this a 5-star stay. The actual house is clean and cozy, though well-lived in. The main bedroom is nice, but the pull-out couch is worn out. This is a good spot for a couple, or a couple with kids who can sleep in the twin bunk beds. The bathrooms are nice and clean, and the kitchen has al the amenities you could hope for, and then some (we loved the coffee selection!). Overall, a nice place to stay, especially during warmer months when you can enjoy the outside.

Great getaway

The property and the rental home is just perfect. The rental home is meticulously clean and taken care of. you can tell that the owner really values the experience their renters are getting while staying in the home. everything seems very new and clean. the property the rental was on was breathtaking. Three ponds, mini vineyard great views of the lake. it was perfect. would definitely come back again

Charming and Relaxing Getaway to the Bristol Hills

This is truly a unique property with many natural treasures to enjoy. First of all, Carolyn and Mary are great hosts, and everything was spotlessly clean and working. If you love beautiful views of the Bristol Hills, birds, lots of outdoor space to explore, with no one around to interfere with your vacation, this is your place. The setting is unique, with the "house" built into a winery, but it is charming. Naples with its wineries and antiques and live theatre are 10 minutes away. And there is fishing on the property for the anglers. Our son loved swimming in the big pond, which is clean and clear. All in all, a great experience.

This property was purchased and built by my brother, Jim. He was a great builder put a lot of love into the development of the whole property. He loved to share it with others. The property is in trust for his son. We are the caretakers of his legacy.
