We loved our “vacation home,” as our kids loved to say. Carol, our hostess, was amazing and helpful. She hid stones for our toddlers to explore and find on the property. They loved the pine woods in the back, with a beautiful sunrise! We loved the hideaways in the house—the kids spent every early morning reading on the window bed and every mid-morning in the loft, laughing and playing and feeling very grown up. They loved chasing frogs at the pond, and all of us loved having fires at night. We couldn’t have asked for more! The area is beautiful, too. The cabin is a drivable distance to so many beautiful places. We give our whole stay two thumbs up!

Great family getaway with good location

Property is setup beautifully, perfect for all age types and pups. While we did not have any children with us, (property has many activities for children like finding pennies up back in the property, paved trails for the kids, swing set etc) both our Boston Terriers explored every inch of the property including the thick wooded areas some. Fire pit and nice setup for deck in the back which overlooks the main playing area for the kiddos. Inside is very has nice cabin but home like setup with large living room and kitchen. Bedrooms as exactly as described. Great location for getting to all the State Parks in the area, finger lakes, wineries etc. The pups did go into the thick wooded area on the property and we did not find any ticks on them which was surprising. Lastly there are several back country trails within 2-3 minutes of driving to that you can hike or walk back into some wooded areas and the closest one to the property has a large pond. I believe you can drive on these back country trails but need permit and gate key. Long story short is this property is great, do not have enough words to describe it all. Sounds like the wife is wanting to come back to the area, will be staying here again!

What a special property! Very private yet close enough to Naples and Canandaigua to get anything you need. The property is well maintained and the walking paths were fun to explore with our dog. Check-in was super easy and the owners were available and ran over when a minor issue arose. We would definitely book again!

Frequent renter

This is the fourth or fifth time we've stayed here for a weekend getaway or a week-long vacation. It's cozy and remote, but with all the conveniences you would expect in a very nice condo. We're usually here in the colder time of the year, making it perfect for staying inside, spending time together, and binging a series or two. We'll be back again.

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is close to a skiing area and lots of attractions. The cabin is well maintained and there were no issues. Great communication with the owners.

Amazing

This is such a beautiful cabin. We loved our time here, again. I immediately de-stressed walking in the door. The walking paths are lovely. We will definitely return. Carol and Lou are easy to work with and make great banana bread:)

Perfect place to be your home base

Wonderful Cabin Experience

Awesome cabin that fit our party perfectly. An abundance of outdoor activities was a great way to spend time outside without leaving the property and tire out a toddler. Would love to return again.

Great Stay

My wife, daughter, dog and I stayed here for an anniversary get away. What an incredible property and beautiful surrounding area! The stay was comfortable, refreshing and we had a lot of fun! Will be recommending this to friends and family!

Our unofficial vacation home

This was the fourth time we’ve had a weekend getaway at the cabin. It it homey, relaxing, and quiet, with all the conveniences you could want. Carol and Lou are wonderful hosts. We’ll be going back again.

Peaceful Getaway

My family of five had such a peaceful weekend stay in this beautiful cabin. We spent plenty of time walking the trails on the property, and also drove to Grimes Glen for a hike to the waterfalls. The house and property are meticulously maintained and our very sweet hosts checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. We loved evenings in the cozy family room with a fire in the wood stove. We didn't want to leave and we can't wait to come back.

Absolutely Wonderful Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was extremely clean and the decor is done beautifully. Communication was excellent throughout our stay. There is so much to do on the property, especially with kiddos and the entire property is extremely well taken care of. We visit the Canandaigua area somewhat frequently and will be back for sure, thank you Carol and Lou for a wonderful stay.

Peaceful adventure

What a beautiful property and cabin. Our stay was short but so very sweet. Carol checked in with us to be sure we made it and if we needed anything to reach out. Upon arrival my girls enjoyed a yummy lemon loaf that Carol had waiting for us. We just loved every last minute of our stay. The cabin was very cute, clean and comfortable. From the camp fires at night to being near the lake and all of the hiking trails this is the perfect place to stay for a peaceful getaway.

Beautiful, Clean & Cozy!!

Our family of 5 adults and one toddler recently stayed at this cabin while visiting the Finger Lakes / Watkins Glen area. The minute we arrived, we all fell in love with the place! Carol was great to deal with, easy to contact with any questions. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, very scenic and well- kept. The cabin itself is immaculate; beautifully decorated and beds are comfy. In the pictures, the cabin appears quite tiny but we were pleasantly surprised at the open, spacious feel. The firepit, swings, hammock and small playhouse are steps away from the cabin. Our 15 month old granddaughter was thrilled with the tiny kitchen centre and tea party dishes in the miniature playhouse!! If we are ever back in the area we would definitely stay here again!! Thank you Carol and Lou!

Incredibly beautiful!!

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay at this cabin. We knew as soon as we arrived that it is a special place! It’s gorgeous inside and out, beautifully decorated, beautiful lighting, very clean, cozy beds in all the bedrooms and we felt right at home. The property has beautiful paths all around it and there was so much room for our 3 boys to play and explore! They especially loved the swings, the frogs by the ponds and Penny Lanes. Our dog loved it too! We hiked a lot of trails in the area, and visited a few of the Finger Lakes, ate at some local restaurants and did some shopping but we always really looked forward to coming back to the cabin after our adventures. We had a fire in the fire pit every night too and got to meet Carol one evening, which was so nice! She is such a wonderful host!! Communication was awesome and I can’t say enough good things about our stay! We loved it so much that we already booked a week for next year! Thank you Carol and Lou for sharing this slice of Heaven with us!

Wonderful cabin in the finger lakes !

Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at this cabin in the woods for the weekend and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a beautiful, peaceful setting that immediately put us at ease. The cabin itself was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for our family of four to spread out and relax. The decor was rustic and charming, with lots of wood accents and cozy furnishings that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the beautiful natural surroundings. The cabin was nestled in a wooded area, with plenty of hiking trails and scenic vistas to explore. We spent hours each day hiking, exploring, and taking in the breathtaking beauty of the area. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing vacation in a beautiful natural setting. Thank you to the owners for providing such a wonderful experience for our family!

Short vacation to Finger Lakes region

Great cabin with all the amenities of home in a quiet wooded location. The cabin is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you need. The grounds are very well kept including ponds and hiking trails. Conveniently located to Lakes Canandaigua and Seneca. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Cozy Cabin living

Wonderful Weekend

We stayed at the cabin with my sister-in-law and her husband. We both took our dogs and they had a blast running around the grounds. Each morning we would take them for a walk around Penny Lane and through the other paths in the woods. Firewood was provided, so each evening we would build a fire and enjoy making S'mores. The cabin was beautiful and well kept. The beds were very comfortable. The town of Naples is only a 15 min. drive, we enjoyed wine/beer tasting each day. Carol was very attentive and always quick to answer a text. As a family we are discussing when we can go back.

Perfect getaway

This was our second stay at this cabin. For a quiet, relaxing getaway in the woods, I can't imagine a better place. The cabin cozy but modern, with a great kitchen, fast wi-fi, and a warm wood stove. You can stay inside or hike through the woods, and if you're so inclined, it's a short drive to some excellent restaurants in Naples. The owners are friendly and accommodating. We plan to stay here again next winter.

Lou and I just finished building this awesome cabin in July 2015. We love the area and have another cabin near by that we stay in. We designed to buy this 5 and build this beautiful cabin! We love the peace and quite that the cabin offers! We feel it is a magical place!

We live in Mendon which is 40 minutes away and love spending time with our two daughters, our son-in-laws and our four grand children.
