Exceptionally crafted luxury Adirondack-style home overlooking Lake Santeelah and the Smokey Mountains, located in the sequestered western North Carolina community of Santeetlah Lakeside.

This community is surrounded by protected forest and pristine water. The marina is within walking distance, so take a boat ride and explore one of the most beautiful and tranquil lakes in America with over 90 percent conserved shoreline.

This was our second stay at the dragonfly Lodge. We were there exactly one year ago, riding all the country roads and looking at the beautiful mountains and leaves and the lake. We really enjoy staying at the dragonfly, it has all the things that we would be looking for and we felt at home. Carol and Alan did a great job with their house.

LOVE Dragonfly Cottage. It’s our 2nd time staying there with family, but first time in the summer. The lake was delightful, surprisingly not much boat traffic, & grandkids loved jumping off the dock. Hoping to return again next summer!

This property is beautiful and perfectly located on the lake with easy walking access to the marina. We spent a full week here and enjoyed every. moment whether we were hanging on the dock, exploring the lake by boat and paddle board, or exploring the local hiking trails and whitewater rafting. Highly recommend lake Santeelah and this property!

Everything was perfect, very well decorated and employed high in kitchen, comfortable beds. Nothing was needed everything supplied and then some.. one of the best stays ever . Thank you for sharing your beautiful home the dock is in perfect place on the lake,calm waters

Spectacular Views

Dragonfly Cottage did not disappoint! It’s beautifully decorated, plenty of room for family, well stocked kitchen (we were there for Thanksgiving), and last but not least, the view was spectacular…even on a cloudy day! We will definitely be making a return visit.

Look no further - the getaway you've been waiting for!

I spent a few days here over the Thanksgiving holiday with my family and we absolutely loved it! This peaceful, comfy cabin has gorgeous lake views and is close to areas with waterfront picnic spots, fishing, and hiking. The perfect combination of tasteful, modern touches and rustic charm inside and out made us feel right at home. Our host was very helpful and accommodating as well, and we'd be glad to go back some day!

Didn’t want to leave the house! Used all the decks and outside seating, especially around the fireplace. Well stocked kitchen and well decorated. Absolutely loved our time here!
