To keep nightly rates low and minimize wear & tear on our equipment, we charge $0.19 per kWh for energy consumption, this averages about 500 kWh/week.

Wonderful vacation home!

Everything in the home was wonderful! It was comfortable, the pool was great and the kitchen was well-stocked. We would definitely stay here again! And the location was great.

Great Location

Very happy with property. This is an "outside" house. We spent all our time outside rather than any time inside except for sleeping. Ate all our meals outside ...even when it rained. The pool was very clean and a good temperature. We even enjoyed the neighbors. The kitchen was very clean but could use a few more things. It really didn't matter. We just adjusted what we wanted to eat to fit what was on hand. Great holiday rental.

Great location and Host!

Location is great if you like quick and easy access to the gulf. House is spacious and comfortable. A few quirks here and there and a little TLC is needed but that’s true of any house. Timmy was a great host and hooked us up with a great fishing charter. Plenty of things to do and all nearby on the Cape.

Fantastic Property

The stay at Malibu Basin was great. Quiet location, beautiful neighborhood and responsive hosts. We rented a boat and having it at the dock for the week really put this vacation as one of the best. Entrance to the canal is a little shallow, but manageable.

Great January Stay

The house was clean and as pictured. It had alot of room inside and out. Pool are was large and lovely. Dock was fabulous, we brought out 32' boat and dock and location was awesome! Owner was helpful and positive, would love to stay here again!!! Thank you for having us!

Loved it!

Great house directly on canal with short trip to gulf. Great time fishing. Everything close by- food, entertainment, night life. Pool made the extremely hot weather tolerable. Great neighborhood with community pickleball court- good times.

PERFECT!!!

This is a perfect home for a pool vacation on the water. Pool is perfect after a long day out boating or exploring. House is located by great restaurants and shopping. I brought my boat and the dock was perfect. Water and power is provided. Nice outdoor bar with grill by the pool. House will not disappoint.

Great stay in Cape Coral

Loved the canal front property, the privacy of the house with the pool, the cleanliness of the house and the helpfulness of the property management staff. The only thing that took us by surprise was that the property was charging us for electricity. We didn't notice it in the listing (may have missed it) but saw it in the communication when the property details were sent to us. This is the first time we've had to pay this but have heard from other vacation home owners that many renters are charging their rental electric vehicles at these vacation homes. So maybe that's why vacation homes are starting to charge for electricity. Makes sense but just caught us off-guard and it was taken out of the security deposit too rather than being a separate charge. It's the natural evolution of these vacation rentals I guess. Regardless, it was a lovely stay. Home is equipped with everything. The outdoor living area was our favorite.

Our stay at Malibu Basin

The pictures in the online listing appear to be old and, in some instances, are misleading. It also omits several pieces of important information. The renter is responsible to pay for the electricity for the entirety of the stay. This includes things that aren't in your control (i.e. all night landscape lighting). You don't find this out until you receive the welcome email. The amount we were charged was significant in my opinion for one week. Based on the nightly rental rate, the renter should not be responsible for utilities. I have never experienced this before through VRBO and have inquired. This is not standard practice, especially if it's not communicated at the time of booking. If the grill propane is empty the renter is responsible to pay for the refill w/out reimbursement. We were led to believe there was a hot tub on the premises, there is not. The corn hole boards were missing. We asked property mgmt twice, were told they would bring them and never did. The house itself is roomy and comfortable but very much in need of updates in the kitchen/living area. The pool was a nice feature and was very clean. The area around the pool was nice as well. The bar was decent but not functional and we had to clean it off when we arrived. The location (being on the canal) and dock was relaxing. I would come back to this area but, most likely, not return to this property.
