Everything was as described! House was in a great location (Go across the parking lot to George's for lunch if you're hungry). Easy access to all highways and the train into Chicago.Beds were comfortable. Everything worked as it should. Kind of wish there was a tv in the bedroom and the couch was kinda lumpy, but nothing that would make me change my rating.Overall was a great stay and we will definitely be back when we come to visit family.

Great location for the national park and state park and a day trip to Chicago. Was not happy with the host of the house. Upon arrival the house had unlocked windows, ripped blinds on both sides of house, trash from last guest, dead bug, towels were folded wet not damp but wet. Broken fence panels in yard and we paid a pet fee and picked this house for the back yard. Storm damage had the gazebo upside down in side yard. Trash on floors upstairs and downstairs. When contacting the host I was told he left bug spray if I wanted to spray for bugs, I could dry the towels and I could take the trash out and him and his team would get back with me on the rest of it. That was Sunday. We left the following Sunday and never heard a peep from him or his team. Very disappointed since this home had a high rating. I did not go on vacation to spray for bugs empty others trash and to keep my dogs on a leash. Apparently from talking to people the storm damage was not recent it was just taken care of.

Thank you for taking the time to share this, and I'm truly sorry the home wasn't ready to the standard you deserved. The cleanliness issues, the damaged blinds and fence, and the gazebo should have been addressed before your arrival, and my response once you reached out fell short. That's on me. I've since reviewed my turnover and maintenance process to make sure guests aren't left to deal with these things themselves. I appreciate the feedback and apologize again for the experience.

The house has recently been painted and it looks great! However, it's not white with blue trim like the online pics... it's dark gray in front. It looks sharp and modern, but I don't think the house numbers are even up yet, so that threw us off when we were trying to find it. Excellent update transformation!Eddi is a communicative host through emails. I unfortunately didn't check my emails during my stay. Check in instructions provided ahead of time worked great. I was happy to find the house in order, we followed the rules in the guide book and the checkout info on the wall, but I learned afterward that I should have taken out the garbage and stripped the beds to make it easier for the cleaning crew. Sorry Eddi, I wasn't attentive to my email during my stay. I guess I just unplugged for the vacation. My family thinks the VRBO should have provided tissues. We fixed this with a trip to the store, but I guess spring allergies were in full bloom because our group was looking for tissues but didn't find any. I personally didn't find this to be a huge issue, but my mother who is a 84 year old little Italian lady let me know it was a problem. Overall it was a nice place that met our needs just fine. Thank you for helping make our family trip a success!

This place was great. It was very spacious, clean, and close to restaurants and grocery stores. The host was very communicative and answered any questions we had very quickly. The house was easy to find and parking was right in front of the house. The neighborhood was quiet and safe.

Great place to stay while visiting Indiana Dunes

You can pack light as there are a lot of supplies in the home. The home is within walking distance to everything with exception of the grocery store and that is a 5 minute drive. Home was clean and property manager was responsive to our needs. Very friendly.

The property was not as described. The photographs of the living room are outdated (the furniture pictured is not present in the home), and several of the blinds in the home were broken. The VRBO photos of the yard are not even close to representing how the yard actually looks. There were two broken Adirondack chairs and some lawn furniture covered in plastic. The canopy/gazebo was lying broken in the front yard (this was not a new problem, as it was mentioned in a previous review). The yard was weedy and unkempt. The fence was broken; a small dog would have escaped through the hole in the fence. The front porch was dirty and uninviting. The neighborhood is not kept up. One of the adjacent houses was especially run down and had several broken down cars out front. Upon arrival, the front door was unlocked, which was quite unsettling. There was a sign posted on the inside of the front door staring that we should not lock the door, which was weird and seemed like a bad idea. Fortunately, a message to "Eddi" was quickly answered and "Eddi" told me to disregard the sign and go ahead and lock the door from the inside. I appreciated the quick replies from "Eddi," but it was clear this was a person or AI entity who has never actually been inside the house. Positive notes: The house was clean on the inside. Clean towels and bed linens. Well stocked kitchen. Internet and TVs worked well. Easy drive to downtown Chesterton and to beaches.

The outdated photos, the broken fence, the damaged outdoor furniture, and the gazebo are all on me to fix, especially since some of this was flagged before. I'm getting the photos updated and the yard and fence repaired right away. I'm glad the interior, kitchen, and location worked well for you, and I appreciate you taking the time to help me make this right.

Great group vacation spot

Cozy, clean, welcoming, and plenty of space for all 8 of us! We had a great time at a nearby beach and there was enough to do in the area that we stayed busy even on rainy days. It was pretty perfect for a group weekend getaway!

Great place to stay!

I stayed here with my three kids and felt very safe and comfortable! Eddi is a great property host and was there right away for anything I needed! I would definitely go back!

Great location

Eddi's place was great! Clean, spacious, right off the highway and close to the Dunes. Great backyard but to cold for us to enjoy... Would highly recommend!

Practical and pleased

Needed a place to stay to experience the dunes and beaches of northern Indiana this place did the trick!
