Our land is vast and remote and features many outdoor places to enjoy! We are a safe haven where you can experience holistic, healthy living. We are blessed with trade winds on the North Shore, so we do not need air-conditioners. Our water is provided by a well with the most delicious alkaline water from the volcanic aquifer well-being. We offer greens from our organic food- garden, eggs, and fruits for purchase, along with our coconut kefir that will enhance your well-being.
We are staffed by our family and community— During check-in, we welcome our guests, show them around our beautiful property, and explain the foundations of regenerative living.

The ethereal en-suite bathroom, designed by a renowned Venetian plaster artist, features a hand-carved sandstone dolphin holding a glass vessel adorned intricately with shells and hand-painted. The California artist-made mirror and rain shower, with changing lights, create a tranquil ambiance while offering a relaxing massage experience. The uniquely designed bamboo bed is perfect for singles or couples, adding a unique charm to the room. But what truly sets us apart is our enchanting, unique natural habitat.

ABOUT OUR PROPERTY:
Our buildings are ecologically built and adorned with spiritual art and hand-crafted masterpieces from Pacific and Asian countries. We are surrounded by a lush jungle, flower gardens, fruit trees, and an easily accessible waterfall that flows into natural pools for swimming, from which you can gaze upon the breathtaking view of the valley.
Our land is a beautiful place to wander and explore: you can take a short walk past our organic garden, agroforestry garden, chickens, and countless species of flowers and plants and enter our temples, where you can rest, relax, and meditate.
Our ocean trail is a moderately challenging cliff trail for the adventurer, and it takes about a half-hour to get down to the ocean. You will enjoy the wild beauty and the untouched nature of this piece of rural Maui, which dolphins and turtles occasionally visit. However, be prepared with a good pair of hiking shoes, snacks, and water bottles. Feel your feet—the trail can be very slippery after heavy rain. In the wintertime, whales can be spotted breaching from the viewpoints on this trail — even from your bed.
As we live off the grid in a sustainable and organic jungle, some friendly and harmless critters are a part of our lives. Occasionally, small geckos are seen in the house, and we remind guests of the importance of sealing up and putting away any uneaten food. If food is left out, ants will take it as an opportunity to make your leftovers a great feast. Also, Maui's tropical climate is conducive to moist air and mold. We are diligent in our cleanliness and strive to keep our spaces clean and insect-free, but as previously mentioned, we take good care of our land and live harmoniously in nature. We cater with 100% success to all our guests who want to experience nature and take time out from their busy lives to relax.

Kutira has been a licensed officiant for over 30 years, and her ceremonies are infused with the Hawaiian spirit. She and her husband create a union celebration according to your personal spiritual beliefs in this special ceremony.

While you can experience off-grid living here, we are just 40 minutes northeast of Kahului airport and 30 minutes from Paia. This wonderful, iconic beach town is home to fantastic restaurants, boutiques, a health-food grocery store, internet cafés, a bank/ATM, a post office, and lovely sandy beaches where you can enjoy walks, picnics, sun, swimming, surfing, and turtle watching!
