The Carriage House Studio at Marion Hall Mansion

Unique and private loft that was once the stables of the carriage house of Frank Enger. Mr. Enger’s family manufactured carriages and shipped them around the country in the 1800s. When Frank took over, he eventually began putting motors in the carriages and ultimately founded the Enger Motor Company. This beautiful space combines old-world character with the modern amenities of today. The fully renovated space highlights exposed brick, a new kitchenette, new bathroom, and beautiful furnishings.

You'll find the kitchenette is a perfect launching point for your night and for making everyone coffee in the morning while you relax. The private patio is great and beautifully furnished with plants and plenty of seating. It will be great for having a bottle and enjoying the evenings. This space is the perfect option for travelling professionals, nurses, doctors, or simply couples or small families looking for a getaway.

We tried to strike a perfect balance between the original character of the property and designing in features to make the home really enjoyable day-to-day.

Our guests will enjoy a private loft in the carriage house stables of our historic home. The 1.8 acre, fully gated property boosts lush gardens, secluded landscape, and various sitting areas around the grounds to enjoy.

Our family lives in the main house at Marion Hall Mansion and are available for anything you might need during your stay

North Avondale has been described as a piece of heaven...right in the city. Some of the grandest homes in Cincinnati grace the winding streets of this historic neighborhood. The homes here represent a wide range of architectural styles dating back to the late 1800s.

We have free parking for one car inside our gated entrance just outside the home. Other cars can park for free on the street.

We are minutes from I-71 and I-75 and walking distance to Xavier University. Also conveniently located to many of Cincinnati's best attractions:

All we ask is that you treat our home as you would a dear friends, and make sure things are picked up and put away. Feel free to leave any used towels in the shower area.
Please be sure to lock up and leave any keys that were used in the same lockbox you used upon arriving.

Beautiful property with a unique carriage house apartment, nicely decorated and quite well-equipped. The space was large, comfortable and very accommodating for our dog. Our brief stay here was a real pleasure and offered much-needed relief on our tedious trip across country.

This is by far the best accommodations that we've had! Love the history of the place. Love the way it's being restored. Love the idea of a gated fenced-in area. Almost a park-like setting. The amenities were great. The only thought that we had is switch to a better bed and maybe a king size bed.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. Extremely cute. Ability to get anywhere very fast. The owners were always on top of everything. Can’t say enough if I’m ever in Cincinnati again I will definitely be looking them up.

Perfection!

We booked the studio for a writers retreat. The ambiance and overall eclectic vibe was perfect for the pair of us. The kitchenette was well appointed, but to be fair the Keurig was the only appliance we used. Communication was thorough and appreciated, but we had no concerns or issues that warranted anything further. Again, all very much appreciated. The highlight of the location was the joy of being in a dog friendly environment and getting to interact with each of the pups! We will return and have already started making plans for the next retreat.

Very unexpected quiet retreat; just right for our stay and so charming. Only complaint we had was we weren’t there long enough to meet any of the doggy hosts we read about :). We will look for this place next time we travel to the area!

Escape the Ordinary

Perfect place to enjoy a mansion adjacent vibe in an eclectic studio apartment. Longing to get away from the hotel sameness and enjoy an artsy comfort this is the place. Plus beautiful grounds and don’t forget the chickens.
