This house is well-situated in a beautiful location surrounded by rocky mountain peaks and pretty views into the valley below. The mountains and hillsides are mostly undeveloped, covered with forest. The surrounding area is rural, dotted with farms, estates, and small villages. There is little light pollution at night. Walking the grounds under a full moon was spectacular. The air is clear and there are not a lot of bugs or mosquitos. We dined outside for every meal. The pool is warm, clean and well-maintained. The location is easy to get to from Mexico City, much of the way on a newly-paved interstate highway.
The house itself and the property are very well-maintained and in pristine condition. The decor is attractive and interesting, with lots of personality. The estate has a long and fascinating history. The facility is completely secure with multiple gates, motion detecting lights, and other advanced security features as a result of use in the past by the British embassy.
The staff are attentive, friendly, keep the place very clean, and cook and serve excellent meals. They decorate the table nightly with beautiful candles everywhere. I strongly recommend booking the staff for breakfasts and dinners, and for daily housekeeping. It is not expensive and makes for a much better vacation.
