Cabin #6 – Sweetheart’s Cottage (Jacuzzi & Fireplace)

Sweetheart’s Cottage is a charming retreat. It features a fully equipped kitchenette (no oven), a small refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee pot, and a toaster. Additionally, you can an enjoy the indoor jacuzzi, gas fireplace, high speed Starlink satellite Wi-Fi, a flat-screen smart TV with roku, a private charcoal grill (charcoal and starter fluid should be brought), a private picnic table, and a private porch swing. For added convenience, you also have access to two shared community propane grills (propane is provided), a common fire pit area, horseshoes, plenty of community rocking chairs placed around the property, and reserved free private parking.

We provide coffee, powdered creamer, sugar, salt and pepper, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, dish soap, towels, and linens.

There is so much nature here!! Dozens of hiking trails! Amazing fishing spots all over the place in the 7 lakes and 5 nearby streams! The spectacular and famous “260” trailhead is just 6 minutes away and dozens of other hiking trails even closer along Colcord Road. Woods Canyon Lake is just a few miles away with kayaks, pontoon boats and other toys for rent. It and other nearby lakes and streams also offer abundant hiking, kayaking, boating, trout & other fishing, ATV riding, mountain biking, bird watching and more. Close by Christopher Creek also has amazing fishing and hiking.
Neighborhood restaurants provide live outdoor music, dancing, pool tables, foosball, and delicious meals.

The cabin comfortably accommodates 2 adults.

Pets are warmly welcome, with an additional housekeeping fee of $45.
[Please note that dogs are not allowed on the beds. If housekeepers cannot remove the pet smell and or hair after two cycles of washing sheets and or comforters, or if there’s any pet nail tears in the bedding, we now purchase replacements out of your deposit. $85 per comforter and $55 per sheet set.] Please bring a pet bed and or kennel and manage accordingly.

We absolutely loved out 20th year anniversary trip! Our POC Flora is amazing checked in on us periodically and answered all my questions. Only "bad" thing is they only had a Queen size bed and not enough pillows for my preference. We love our trip so much, we are going back in 5 weeks with the whole gang!

We stayed over New Year's so as most every option, it was definitely overpriced for what it is. We just needed to ensure we had a place away from fireworks. The hot tub in the cabin isn't actually a great concept as the space is so small it, using it makes the cabin insufferably humid. Plus it cycles continuously so it can make sleeping difficult if you are sensitive to noise.

Lovely Getaway

Had a very nice stay at this cabin! Loved sitting on the porch swing and rocking chair to bird and relax. The indoor hot tub was clean and a great way to wind down each night. Communication with the manager was thorough and prompt. Would stay here again!

Perfect for two

Had a wonderful stay with just my partner and me. We just wanted a relaxing weekend with no plans and this was perfect. It was so quiet and beautiful stars at night. The jacuzzi was so nice to have inside while it was freezing out. The location was secluded but easy to get to. Flora was always very helpful and stayed in communication if we needed her. Would recommend this place!

We accommodating on hand staff .

Appliance could be better … not a lot of outlets but the on hand staff ( Quincy) are very friendly and accommodating .

Added conveniences needed

The hot tub needs a step for easier access, since I am a short lady I had difficulties getting into it. A power outlet should be in the bathroom and there was none. And the only light in the cabin was with the fan and it made the room dark near the bed and the spa.

Perfect place to relax and enjoy naturere

We just wanted to get up to the mountains and relax, enjoy nature. This was the perfect place. After a day of hiking and enjoying two lakes and creeks nearby it was nice to come back and enjoy the jacuzzi. The pictures don't do it justice it's nicer in person. Perfect for couples that just want to get away for awhile. The only negative we had was no cell service (T-Mobile) and wifi was spotty. But we understand that's normal when your in the middle of the forest. We went to Christopher creek, down the road, to get reception and check on the kids. We will definitely be back!

Soaked floors

Location was good. Water on the floors by the hottub and the bathroom the saturated my bags with my clothes in them and my work laptop and bag. I was told it was moisture from the hottub. That wouldn't make the floors drenched with water and make my clothes so wet that they look like they were thrown in the hottub. Bathroom floor looked like water comen up through the grout lines. I was told it's just moisture from the hottub. I am not happy about my bags being saturated with water and my work laptop getting wet.

So relaxing

We stay in cabin #1, Lovers Hideaway for our anniversary, it was perfect. There was nothing better than waking up, jumping in the hot tub, getting a nice relaxing soak and then hitting the lake for some fishing! I actually caught fish at both Woods Canyon and Willow Lakes! Diane, the host was awesome, very helpful and polite. She told us about a dirt road that would take you to a little town called Young. We took a day drive and while making several stops to explore and hike, we drove thru the town and then back. It was beautiful! Then to Christopher Creek Landmark open bar and restaurant, for good food and a great atmosphere.....back to the hot tub for a night cap. Highly recommend this place if you want to get away, but not be completely isolated. There a total of 6 cabins, fairly close together, but even with the radio on and the noise from the hot tub, you couldn't hear anything outside and we couldn't hear our neighbors. Very nice. There is not really a place to explore on the property as there are other private properties near, but a short drive back to road and we can find some beautiful places.

Gorgeous cabin in quite area

Great cabin in a quite area & within driving distance to lots of lakes, hiking 🥾 & great places to eat in both Christopher Creek & Forest Lakes. Cabin had just the right amenities for the two of us to enjoy a nice weekend. We’ll need to visit again on a non holiday weekend to enjoy the area more. Communication with property was easy.

Great Quick Stay over the Holiday

Great location. While we didn't have snow, there was snow just a short drive from our place. The cabin was a wonderful quick getaway over the Christmas Holiday. Reminded me of my childhood days of going up north in MN.

Perfect spot for a little getaway!

Super cute, owners were awesome and left a list of many things to do close by. Cabin was perfect, clean and cozy! Definitely coming back and highly recommended!

Rustic cabin, quiet, comfortable, clean.

Real nice place. Well appointed, comfortable cabin with every thing you could need to feel at home. The jacuzzi was a great bonus and very relaxing after a days hike. The hosts Ken and Diana, although I never met them in person, were very helpful before during and after my stay. They were instrumental in helping straightening out an issue I had with VRBO after my stay. I was not disappointed after choosing to stay here. I absolutely plan on staying here again.

The location was quiet and beautiful. The cabin needed some maintenance like step to get into Jacuzzi, railings by stairs and side deck, fireplace only working part of the time. Some maintenance would improve the experience greatly since the location is great...

Lovely cabin and location!

Cabin was clean, felt Covid safe, Ann’s dogs allowed! When we needed something checked on- owners responded immediately. Information on the area was very helpful and we loved nearby hikes and lakes.
