This convenient, centrally located home is just over 3 miles from downtown Rockland and its many festivals, shops, and restaurants, and only 1 mile from downtown Thomaston. Camden-Rockport is an easy 20-minute drive, and Pen Bay Medical Center is approximately 10 minutes away. The property is also roughly midway between Portland and Bangor, both about 1.5 hours away. One of the nation’s most visited national parks, Acadia National Park, is about a 2-hour drive.

Local amenities include beautiful beaches, scenic hiking trails, lighthouses, lakes, golf courses, skiing, art galleries, and of course—fresh Maine lobster.

The Space
Guests have access to a large front and side lawn. Please note that there is a two-unit apartment located behind the house, and the back lawn is not accessible to guests.

The home features great natural lighting and easy accessibility. There is one step to enter the house. All main living areas—including the kitchen/dining area, living room, bathroom, and both bedrooms—are on the same level. The office is located just one step down from the main living space.

The living room features a large picture window overlooking the front lawn and is furnished with new leather seating, including a leather pull-out sofa bed and matching loveseat. The space also includes a 55-inch 4K Smart TV with Roku.

For added comfort, the home is equipped with a modern air purifier that automatically adjusts to maintain clean, fresh indoor air throughout your stay.

Second bedroom: Queen-size bed

High-speed internet: 500 Mbps available throughout the house

There is a small shared section of wall (approximately 10 feet) in the office that connects to the building behind the home.

IMPORTANT – Directions
If you are using Google Maps, it may take you to the wrong location—specifically 64 Old County Rd in Rockland, which is about 1.2 miles past the rental.

Apple Maps does not appear to have this issue.
For Google Maps, even though it is not an official address, entering:

will bring you directly to the correct location.

Location was great. Close to Rockland, Camden State Park, Port Clyde,Tenants Harbor General Store, Laite Memorial beach in Camden great place to let dogs run.Thomaston park on the old prison grounds was close for daily dog runs.The Hosts were excellent and responded right away. Bring pet friendly added to our memories. Only thing we needed to do was air it out

On the whole the house was excellent. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Comfortable, relaxing, warm. Everything we needed was there. Location great. Small amount if noise from neighbourhood but really didnt affect us. We gave a 4 out of 5 simply because a) finding the house wasnt easy and b) the kitchen cupboards could do with smarten up. They looked a bit old and grubby inside. However we ate out mostly so didnt store food.

The house was very comfortable for us and very central to everything we wanted to do. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog and Thomaston has the best dog park, about a 3 minute drive from the house. It’s not really a walkable neighborhood, but that was the only downside. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Stay with All the Comforts of Home

We had a wonderful stay in Thomaston, Maine! The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to cook some great family meals during our trip. One of our favorite nights was cozying up together for a scary movie night—it felt just like home. The beds were very comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep for everyone. Having laundry on-site was such a convenient and appreciated accommodation. Overall, a perfect place for a relaxing family getaway!

Could have been better

There was plenty of space for three adults, and we had everything needed. Unfortunately, there was an aroma of wet dog and the bathroom and kitchen could have been cleaner; seemed like everything got a wipe down but wasn't cleaned. The long enough to sleep on couch was broken and person kept sinking into the back on the one end.

Great home at an affordable price

We came into town last minute because of a family emergency. There’s not a ton of options in the area, unless you want to pay thousands of dollars. This place was conveniently located to our family with a good price. The home was comfy and the host was amazing.

It was a good location for where we needed to go. It had a lot of things we needed. Everything I needed to use was clean I think I few things need updating I also didn’t realize there was an apartment attached to the home. Probably my oversight. Again thanks for sharing your home.

Convenient, comfortable home in Thomaston

Brief stay in Thomaston with the family and the dog for a local celebration. This home is in a great location, close to everything. Clean, comfortable and well-equipped with everything we could need.

We really like this place!

This is our second year staying at this property, and we really like it. It's conveniently located, clean, comfortable, quiet. Fairly well-stocked kitchen as far as cookware and dishware. The TVs being set up with Roku is also really convenient as we can easily log in to our streaming services. Check-in is easy. Check-out requirements are reasonable and easy to do. If it's available, will stay there again next year.
