Enjoy comfort and convenience in this private home with seasonal views of the Mill River. Tucked away on a quiet dead-end road just off US Route 1, you’ll be close to everything Mid-coast Maine has to offer. Downtown Rockland is just 3 miles away—perfect for exploring shops, art galleries, and summer festivals—while charming Thomaston is less than a mile down the road. Portland and Bangor are each about 1.5 hours away, and Acadia National Park is just a 2-hour scenic drive.

Nearby attractions include beaches, scenic hiking trails, lighthouses, lakes, golf courses, skiing, art galleries, and, of course, fresh Maine lobster.

The Space

Guests have full access to the home and outdoor spaces, including a small front and back yard. The home features beautiful natural light, with a large picture window overlooking the backyard and wooded area.

There is one step to enter the house, and all main living areas—including the kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, and both bedrooms—are located on a single level for easy accessibility.

Master Bedroom
Features a comfortable queen bed, a 43” 4K Roku Smart TV, and a small workspace—perfect for remote work or planning your next adventure.

High-speed internet (500 Mbps) is available throughout the house.

Guest Access

Guests have exclusive access to the entire property, including both the interior and outdoor areas.

Other Things to Note

Check-in / Check-out: We’re unable to accommodate early check-in or late check-out. Cleaning takes place from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM to prepare the home for the next guest.

Late check-out will incur a $50 per hour fee.

Smoking: Absolutely no smoking inside the house. Smoking must be done completely outside.

Quiet Enjoyment: This is a peaceful neighborhood—please be respectful of our neighbors.

There is a video doorbell that covers the entry area and the driveway.

The Riverview

Amazing little house tucked away close to the river. It was very clean and nicely furnished. I had a great time staying here and it was very close to downtown Thomaston.

Very clean and a great location

The house was very clean, comfortable and quiet. We had everything we needed for a great getaway. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do - would highly recommend!

Riverview?

The house really doesn't have a river view....but we have stayed here 2 years in a row - to attend the Blues Festival in Rockland. Back yard is private but doesn't have any outside sitting area...so we brought our own...This house fits our needs even if location is off the beaten path.

Exactly what it looked like

It is hard to find a place in this part of Maine but it was great because it was near Rockport and Warren where we were visiting family. Had everything we needed and was very clean.

Thomaston excursion

Loved the property! Super convenient to everywhere that we wanted to go. Wonderful that we were allowed to have our dog. The western Sunset is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for your hospitality.

Very responsive management

Pros: - while there’s no river view from the unit itself, the river (and Henry Knox historical site) are a very short walk away- owner/manager very responsive to concerns. The portable a/c was leaking and he had it replaced very quickly- very comfortable reclining chairs in living room, though they cant all recline at the same time due to spaceCons: - right off the highway, which is very convenient for driving but made dog walks a little treacherous at times- The outside area looks way bigger in pictures and the backyard was unusable due to fire ants

Perfect little home

This is the perfect little house for a quick getaway. We were in for a family function but found the property to be perfectly located near so many cool hiking trails and quaint small towns. The house was stocked with all the needed creature comforts we needed and we were all comfortable. Jason was the perfect host and was great with resolving our check-in hiccup quickly.

Nice remote place to stay.

We really enjoyed the remote location of this property. It was very clean and quiet. Having just stayed at a similar property it would be nice if another a/c was added as the one struggled to cool the unit. Our previous rental had also invested in nicer amenities and did not go with the cheapest options like we noticed at this rental. Overall these were more minor details and the rental served us well.

Unable to stay due to strong pet odor

As soon as we opened the door a very heavy “wet dog” odor was present. After a half hour of opening the windows, it was clear that we could not stay. I immediately called the owner who told us he would issue a credit. A short time later the owner called to let me know he was only able to issue a partial credit. I called VRBO to get help with the remaining credit. I spoke to Habiba who was very helpful. She told me the owner would be available after 5 pm. She would call him and e-mail me an update. This was 1 week ago and I have not heard from her, did not receive my additional credit and have messaged the owner 2 times without a reply. This is unacceptable. I have rented many times on VRBO but will no longer with this extreme lack of customer service. When booking, the listing did mention pet friendly. There is a very big difference between being pet friendly and your house smelling like a dog kennel. The property needs a deep cleaning.

This home accommodated us perfectly, not to small. 4 adults could move around comfortability, and nice roomy kitchen to prepare meals. Perfect location to all the attractions.
