The Pioneer has been intricately designed to ensure each guest has the most comfortable and best experience possible during their stay. This large home offers 3 floors equipped with 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, two fully stocked kitchens, two living rooms and plenty of space to spread out PLUS private parking and a 2 car garage. In addition to the amazing interior features, The Pioneer is located in the heart of Midtown Kansas City only minutes from the action.
*BOOK YOUR STAY WITH CONFIDENCE! THIS HOME IS PROPERLY REGISTERED AND LICENSED TO HOST!

*IDENTITY VERIFICATION and PROPERTY INSURANCE REQUIREMENT: Our properties are protected by SuperHog which is a third party identity verification and insurance partner. Once you have booked, you will be contacted by SuperHog to verify yourself and purchase insurance for a one time non-refundable fee of $35.00. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in in order to receive property access instructions.

*PARTIES - All gatherings must be limited to 10, this is monitored and guests violating this rule will be charged a mandatory $700 fine. NO EVENTS OR PARTIES ARE ALLOWED.

*PETS - We do allow pets with host approval. If you are planning on bringing a pet please notify us once you complete your booking. There is a $75 fee for one pet and $100 for two that is collected once the booking is confirmed and paid in full. (Guests are required to pick up after their pet, host provides dog bag stations.) The back yard is not fenced but the neighborhood is perfect for walking! There is a $500 fine for any unauthorized pets.

*Full refund will be provided if guest cancels more than five days prior to arrival minus any processing fees. No refund will be given if cancelled within five days of arrival.
Host will not be on site during the stay but is available via email, message or phone call.
Midtown Kansas City and the famous Westport area is one of Kansas City’s top entertainment districts. The neighborhood is home to a number of restaurants and bars, including Kelly's Westport Inn, an Irish-themed bar located inside the oldest building in Kansas City.

WHERE TO EAT LUNCH: With most of the 30 restaurants, 25 bars and 15 patios located within walking distances, there’s definitely no shortage of unique cuisine in Westport. Many restaurants, such as Cancun Fiesta Fresh, Char Bar and Joe’s Pizza, are open for quick lunches; or sit down with friends and co-workers for lunch at Snooze Eatery, Fat Sully's Pizza, Port Fonda and Jerusalem Café.

WHAT’S NEARBY: The Country Club Plaza is a five-minute drive south, and both the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art are within a few miles.

ANNUAL SPECIAL EVENTS: Kansas City's Annual St. Patrick's Day parade has made its mark as one of the largest and most notable parade celebrations of all things Irish in the United States.

An annual art festival in September, Art Westport brings together more than 100 local and regional artists and craftsmen in an atmospheric open-air environment.
Guests will have access to the home except the basement. This home includes the two car garage available during the stay.
Traveling as a family or a group of friends; this home is perfect with plenty of space to spread out! There are two fully stocked kitchens, two living rooms, private parking, 3 full bathrooms and the coziest of bedrooms. Located in the heart of Midtown just minutes from Westport, the Country Club Plaza and Union Station. The Pioneer was intricately designed to showcase “pioneers” from Kansas City who lead the way in their various industries and have impacted music and entertainment as we know it today! Can you spot all of the Pioneer’s throughout the home?

The home does have a driveway however it is very narrow and large vehicles will have a difficult time getting in and out. There is neighborhood street parking around the home as well.

Enter through the bottom back door using a personalized code you will receive the day of arrival.

When entering this home our hope is that you feel at peace and know you are in the most comfortable space Kansas City has to offer. The grand foyer has beautiful woodwork and a an amazing staircase, hardwood floors and space to set down your luggage so you can explore this masterpiece of a home.

The living room features plenty of seating for your group. A fireplace that is available for use during your stay! A large Smart TV so you don’t miss those shows or Kansas City football! .

The kitchen(s) provide guests with absolutely everything needed to prepare a top notch meal from pots and pans to bakeware along with all utensils! The main floor kitchen has been updated with brand new granite countertops, beautiful backsplash and overhead lighting! There is tons of cabinet and counter space throughout this kitchen! There is also a gas cooktop with 5 burners on the island and additional seating for two!

The other full kitchen is located on the third floor, it’s not as large but offers everything you need to cook and prepare meals! This kitchen also features a large island for meal prep!

Don't feel like cooking? Not a problem! Order in from one of the many restaurants located within a 3 mile radius. There are too many to list but we provide an electronic guidebook that will help with identifying places to eat and things to do nearby. Both kitchens also feature a complete coffee bar! A drip coffee maker, Keurig coffee machine, French press and pour over are provided along with coffee grounds, creamer and sugar. Other features in both kitchens include:

Bedrooms:
There are four large bedrooms in this home! The second level has three of the bedrooms including a master suite featuring a king size bed, Smart TV, gas fireplace and large bathroom with a spa tub, separate stand up shower and double sinks. The two other bedrooms are extremely comfortable with two of the rooms offering king beds and the fourth featuring a queen. The third floor bedroom has a king size bed. All bedrooms have plenty of closet space, hangers, bedside tables and overhead lighting.

All 3.5 bathrooms offer state of the art luxury and comfort! The master suite bathroom features a spa tub, stand up shower and double sinks! The second floor hall bathroom and third floor bathroom have large vanities and tub/shower combos! The main level bathroom is a half bath off the dining room. The full bathrooms are equipped with luxury Tommy Bahama bath products including shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. Each guest is provided a large bath towel and washcloth. Also, provided are dark make-up towels for convenience.

Excellent stay in a beautiful mid-town house
Highly recommend. This house is ideal for a larger party (we had 7). It was super clean and well appointed. The large dining room table fit nine for games and meals. The host was very responsive through the whole process including when our Internet went down briefly. Bonus - full one bedroom apartment at the top provides an extra bath and kitchen as well as a bed. The neighborhood is typical for mid-town, rough around the edges in spots but close to downtown, the Plaza, and stadiums.

Friend group celebrating a birthday
Great location; we walked to Westport bars and restaurants. Only gave 4 stars because area is questionable at night to walk. Coffee bar is excellent. Plenty of hot water for 6 adults to shower. Good towels, sheets, beds, bedding. We didn’t cook any meals but the kitchen has a great setup for cooking, dining room table accommodates large group nicely. Need to get rock glasses for the bar, otherwise nice bar setup. Porch furniture would be a nice touch; it was a nice day to sit outside and that appears to be the only place to gather outside. (It might have been a little early to set out.) Check 3rd floor air filter; needs attention
