Escape above the clouds in this secluded cabin nestled on top of Lookout Mountain. Experience thousands of kaleidoscopic city lights, and an abundance of mountain peaks in one of nature's most breathtaking settings. Expansive windows and spacious walkout decks bring the outdoors in, offering natural light, fresh mountain air, and 180-degree panoramic views extending to the horizon. The nature intimate design allows guests to form a connection with the beauty, wildlife, and culture of Colorado!

Challenge your family and friends to ping pong, arcade, and board games in the exhilarating game room. Transport to Hollywood in the Dolby Atmos surround sound home theater. Float under a star filled sky in the home’s infinity style hot tub. Become mesmerized watching the snow glisten onto the Rocky Mountains while snuggling up to a crackling fire. Turn on the heated bathroom floors and take a romantic bath in the master suite with captivating views.

Guests will also have access to a kitchen, dining area, coffee bar, living room and in house laundry. City and mountain views aren’t the only abundance at the property, guests will also enjoy everyday visits from elk, deer, bears, turkeys, and multiple bird species.

The property is a 3 bed 2.5 bath, 2800 sq ft, multi-level single family home located at 7550' in elevation! Guests will have access to the entire home. Nearby areas of attraction with driving times are detailed below:
-5 min drive to hiking, mountain biking, and road biking trailheads.
-10 min drive to Red Rocks Ampitheater.
-10 min drive to Golden, CO.
-20 min drive to Evergreen lake/town (closest mountain town to Denver).
-25 min drive to Downtown Denver including Empower field, Coors field, Ball Arena, 16th street, Rino, and the Highlands.

Quiet, peaceful, and only 15 minutes from the hustle bustle. The views and wind in the trees feel much further from the city.

Beautiful Place

We loved this home. I would live here if I could! It's easy to get to, granted we were there in October with no snow. It was clean at arrival, Nate was very informative and checked on us while on our stay, but we didn't need anything because it was great! Beds were comfy, view is amazing, its quiet, you're close enough to town for things, but when you're at the house you seem so far away, which I loved. We ate in and toured Golden and Lookout Moutain, I highly suggest those things! Anyways, if we make the trek back up there, I would absolutely stay here again! Oh, and super easy checkout too, always a plus!

Beautiful Views

Incredible view, beautiful and relaxing property. Especially loved the home theater in the basement and getting to see some deer up close in the backyard one morning. Would happily stay again, almost wish i had booked an extra day or two to take advantage of all the amenities.

Fantastic Stay at the Cabin in the Clouds

The Cabin in the Clouds was beautiful and exactly as advertised. Very well appointed, everything worked perfectly, kitchen was well stocked for cooking, communication with the host was flawless and the location was fantastic for our trip to Red Rocks, Denver and Boulder. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing views!!

House was amazing!! This house was perfect with AMAZING views! Definitely will be booking again! We were caught in the huge snow storm and lost power and water - Nate stayed in contact with us all day to make sure we were okay and even offered to move us to another location they had if needed. He had the driveway cleared of snow so we could continue our vacation. The house had everything we needed and the entertainment/movie/theater room was great to relax and watch movies during down time. Hot tub was perfect too! Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and cookware. The coffee station came in handy! Plenty of board and card games to play with the kids and ping pong table. This house had it all! Beds were comfortable and plenty of blankets. Thank you for such a perfect house!

Clean with Beautiful Views

House was clean and comfortable. Beds were cozy. Host was very responsive. We had one minor issue getting access to the property but it was handled immediately. The reason you stay here is for the views and privacy. If you have never driven on mountain roads, arriving after dark for the first time could be a little daunting.

Spectacular Property & Location

This was a 5 star experience all around! The location is both convenient and gorgeous. The views alone make it a bucket list destination. Golden and Idaho Springs are both 20 minutes or less and such cool mountain towns to visit. The house is beautifully furnished and very clean. The entertainment areas inside and outside the house are perfect, so many fun and relaxing spaces. Nate was a great host as well, very responsive and kind. As a luxury rental host myself I was thoroughly impressed, this truly exceeded our expectations.

Amazing views!!!

My wife and I traveled to Colorado to visit Denver, see a concert at Red Rocks and finish up in Boulder. Our three night stay on Lookout mountain was the highlight. The views of the sunrise were amazing. We enjoyed the proximity to Red Rocks for the concert and the solitude of the location of the home. The neighborhood is quiet and the house comes fully equipped.

Stunning Views and Setting!!

Nate’s place is amazing! It’s so close to Golden, CO and Red Rocks, it feels so serene inside and outside the home. The views are to die for. They have everything you need in their place for an amazing vacation. The movie theater downstairs is soooo fun too. We watched a movie one night for our chill night. Their hot tub is really easy to work and gets to the perfect temperature. This is the perfect place. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

Best view in the rockies

If you're looking for a place with the best views, this is it. It's the main reason we decided to stay here as a group. We've stayed at other VRBO properties in other mountain ranges, canyons, etc., and this one has some of the best views we've had, day or night. We also saw some deer on the property that walked within feet of us. The host was nice enough to let us know a bear had gone through our car at night (my husband forgot to lock it, don't make that mistake!). We also saw plenty of lizards and blue birds as well. There were some cons that I'll mention but might not matter to others. There is no grill, and we did find several camel crickets, beetles and camel spiders in the cabin. Luckily we love insects and recognized what they were but someone who isn't local might be freaked out by that. We didn't realize that there wasn't a/c in the cabin. You have to open the windows (many of which don't have any screens on them, allowing bees and other insects to get in). It got up to 78-80 during the day with windows closed. The master bedroom on the top floor was the most hot, but has a small a/c unit in the corner that you will want to run. However, it is very loud and makes strange noises that may keep you up at night if you're a light sleeper. If so, there are fans to borrow from one of the downstairs bedrooms. We had a full group with us so we couldn't use the downstairs bedrooms ourselves but they were less hot than the top floor room. The beds were all very comfortable!

Family trip

5 of us gathered here from various states to go to a concert at Red Rocks. Great clean, cozy home. We’ve stayed at rental homes in Estes Park and Brek. This was our all time favorite. The views are amazing, movie room was fun too. Great place!

Great location and views

Location was perfect for going into Idaho Springs for mountain activities or driving into Denver or Golden. Kids loved the movie theater in the basement, and were delighted to see a young buck foraging outside the house one morning. Views were amazing. Was a bit hot in the house (we were there during mid August heatwave) but temp would probably be perfect in any month other than July or August! Owners responded right away to messages/questions which I appreciated.

Not Enough Stars Available

This was an AWESOME property!!! There are not enough stars available to accurately rate it. Nate was an extremely helpful and responsive host prior to and during the stay. This property is BEAUTIFUL!!! I was in town with 2 friends (married couple) for the TTB concert at Red Rocks and this was the perfect location. The property allowed us plenty of breathing room and lots of entertainment - the only thing we didn't check out was the hot tub. Everything else was spectacular. HIGHLY recommend this property/host and will definitely try to stay here again during my next visit.
