Pet Friendly home by the Stow Ferry

We are now accepting month to month rentals until June 1. 1500/month includes all utilities and snow removal. Located within walking distance to the historic Stow Ferry and minutes from Bemus Point. Across the street is Hogans hut the largest bait and convenience store on the lake. This is the perfect spot to unwind and be minutes away from Chautauqua counties major attractions

This is a 4 season 2-bedroom cottage with an additional queen pull out bed and 3 pull out twin chairs that will comfortably sleep 6-9, and can accommodate up to 3 cars. This house has two bedrooms. One with a Queen bed and pull out chair bed. Bedroom 2 has a full bed, and the living room has a pull-out queen in the living room with two additional chair/pull out twin mattresses. The house has 2 window air conditioners, a full-size washer and dryer, and fully equipped kitchen. You have high speed internet and a Roku TV with YouTube TV, Netflix, Amazon prime, and Disney Plus .

You are 5 minutes from Bemus Point (via the stow ferry or the 86 bridge), the Chautauqua Institute, Prendergast boat launch (largest free launch on the lake), and Long Point state park. Mayville, Jamestown and Lakewood are very close by so you'll have lots of restaurants and entertainment options on and off the lake. There is a private fire pit and seating for 6 (the fire wood can be purchased at hogan's hut or many roadside stands). You’ll have access to a private yard and outdoor seating with a large shared lot for outdoor fun (back house is also a VRBO I own). At hogan's hut you can get all your fishing gear, great coffee, subs, and soft serve ice cream! Just sit back, relax, and enjoy everything Chautauqua Lake has to offer!!

There are two houses on the property the front house your renting (Jack) and the back house (Jill) both have individual fire pits, seating areas, and a shared firepit for social groups and large gatherings. There is one neighbor to the side and no other neighbors nearby. The driveway is 2 cars wide and very long so there should be plenty of parking. There is a large side yard you are free to use just be respectful of the property, and the shared access with the neighbors in back

House worked for us overall! We loved the location, walking distance to the Stow Ferry and ice cream were definite perks. Central to most activities at Lake Chautauqua! With a toddler that likes to play hide and seek and play on the ground, we wished it would have been a little cleaner (dust covering fans and blinds, dirty socks from walking around, and the shower didn’t drain well). With a good deep clean, this would be 5 stars! Appreciated the firepit and wood!

Fun family spot

A great place to stay close to the Stow Bemus Point Ferry. Check ferry hours as they don’t operate daily, even during summer season. Otherwise a perfect relaxing getaway that was close to the Allegheny Parks as well as Chautauqua.

Great location

The place was overall comfortable, but left a little to be desired in expectation. It's the shoulder season and freezing at night. We didn't arrive until after dark and it was 53 inside. I was raised not to go to sleep with electric space heaters on, but that seemed to be the only working provision. The gas did not appear to be turned on

Always a good time

This is our 3rd visit to this house. We love the neighborhood and the small town feel. This was our first fall visit and it was beautiful. We went to the Ellicottsville Fall Festival, which was AMAZING!

The property is wonderful for the former weather conditions. However I doesn’t work for the new humidity and 24 hour high temperatures. I am sorry that I couldn’t stay overnight comfortably due to mold heat and humidity.

So much fun!

This is the 2nd year we have stayed at this house. It's really cute and cozy. It feels like home. And the area is so cute... small towns, amazingly friendly people, access to everything! We'll be back next year!

Thanksgiving stay

Used this house as our night time spot while visiting our family for Thanksgiving weekend. It was the perfect little place for our family to relax and sleep and my three year old keeps asking me when we can go back to "the flat house". She called it this because it's all on one floor which she's never experienced before

Wedding weekend

With comfortable beds and a fully supplied kitchen, this very clean house was perfect for our weekend away. The furniture looked brand new and the location was a quick walk down to the water.

Perfect little spot

We rented the two houses together with my in-laws. They were clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. An ice cream place and convenience store was a quick walk up the road. All in all, it was a perfect little getaway.

A return to Chautauqua

Been coming to Chautauqua since 2001. After i sold our properties i have not been back for several years. This rental allowed me to easily check out my favorites. The only thing with the rental was tha t the lawn had not been maintained.

Absolutely loved it!!!!!

We had an amazing 5 days! The checkin was simple, the house was super cute, exceptionally clean and well stocked! We were close to everything, yet not on a main or noisy road. We travelled the area and found each area cuter than the one before. We found good restaurants, grocery stores were close by, and a little General Store around the corner. And the ice cream shop across the road was a pleasant surprise! We will be booking again, for sure!

Comfortable place near Stow Ferry

This delightful little house is well appointed. The kitchen is bright and is outfitted with all the things you would need to cook your meals. The bathroom was well stocked, and the internet worked great. The whole house is very clean. The house is located 5 miles away from the Chautauqua Institution. Plus, it’s just a short distance from the Stow Ferry, which runs across Lake Chautauqua to Bemus Point on weekends. Also within walking distance there is: a mini mart with a gas station (in case you forgot to pack something, the Hogan’s Hut mini mart could be the place to find it); an ice cream place with a large selection of flavors. The scoops are generously portioned! A couple items to note: There is a siren at Stow Ferry that goes off at odd hours, day and night. If you’re a hard sleeper, it may not bother you. Lighter sleepers take note. Also, in the smaller bedroom, the AC unit is old. Even set at its coldest setting, it felt like it was just blowing cool air. We remedied the overnight temp by opening the window in the hallway and putting the floor fan by the window to circulate the cool outdoor air. It made for more comfortable sleeping. No formal check out process was mentioned other than the checkout time.
