Welcome to our beautifully updated, light-filled 1,175 sq. ft. historic Ballard farmhouse with large fenced yard located on a quiet residential street lined with charming single-family homes.

You'll enjoy the best of both worlds: a peaceful neighborhood setting with Ballard's restaurants, bars, breweries, boutique shops, parks and playgrounds just minutes away. Downtown Seattle is approximately a 15-minute drive.

Guests consistently rave about our home's location, thoughtful design, spaciousness and comfort.

The Home

Our home comfortably accommodates 4 adults + 2 children and offers:

Traveling with family or friends? Our neighboring apartment, Ballard Hummingbird Abode, sleeps up to 4 additional guests. Both properties can be booked together for larger groups while still giving everyone their own space.

For the comfort of all our guests, smoking, vaping, marijuana and other drug use are not permitted inside the home or anywhere in the yard.

Flexible check-in and check-out may be available when possible. Please reach out if you have special requirements.

Good fenced yard so our dog could run around and nice neighborhood for walking. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking/dining utensils and other supplies. Premises were clean and well-maintained. The king bed was supportive and comfy. Our host was great and quickly responded to any questions we had.

Stay during UW graduation weekend

My golden retriever and I had a lovely stay at this Ballard cottage. My dog loved the fully fenced yard and I loved the well-appointed kitchen and other thoughtful touches throughout the cottage. Would definitely stay again.

This was a wonderful place and the owners were very accommodating and friendly!The house was packed with more than the essentials. The kitchen was set with about every utensil you would need for cooking.The house was very comfortable and conveniently located to things in Ballard and downtown Seattle.I would highly recommend this house for a stay in Seattle without question!We had a great stay and send a big thank you to our hosts.

Great place to stay in Ballard

The Ballard Farmhouse was the perfect place for my one week stay in Ballard. The house is conveniently located, generously sized and very well equipped. The big back yard feels like a private oasis. The hosts are right next door. They are welcoming and very responsive. I feel fortunate to have found such a great place to stay.

Extended Stay at a Lovely Home!

Loved this cute little home for our 3 week trip to Seattle. I was working remotely, and enjoyed the use of the little upstairs office space. The house is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and set up. Had all the amenities I would hope for in a rental and more. Home is in a great location walking distance to Ballard shops, not too far from Golden gardens. If we ever have another long trip to Seattle would hope to stay here again!

The host thought of everything. The kitchen was fully stalked, down to the having single serve creamers in the refrigerator and plenty of tools to cook all meals at home. The bathroom and bedrooms were also fully stocked, with anything you could need. The home was very clean and beautifully decorated. Super convenient location to Ballard (walking distance) and I cannot say enough positive things about our host! The home is also dog friendly (and the hosts love dogs too!) with a fenced in backyard. We stayed in this home in transition between selling our house in Seattle and moving out of state. We lucked out with this absolute gem of a home during a very stressful period. If/when we return to the area, this is where we will stay.

Enjoyed my stay

Quiet location. Clean house. Numerous electrical outlets. Comfortable beds. Nice bathroom. Appreciated the coffee supplies and Washer/Dryer in the rental. The stairs were fairly steep and ackward at the top with a low ceiling, yet we 60-year-olds managed it. Plenty of room for luggage in the bedrooms. I know the house is marketed to allow pets and since I don’t have pets, I did notice a pet odor each time I entered the house. So if you love and/or bring your pets, this is a wonderful rental.

Well appointed classic Ballard home in great area

We had a very nice stay in Nicole's house, which is an original Ballard home that she has updated very tastefully. We were warm and comfy, and enjoyed being able to walk to all the great stuff in downtown Ballard. Bedrooms are upstairs and the sole bathroom is downstairs, and the stairs are fairly steep, which could be inconvenient for nighttime bathroom runs. We felt safe with the handrail and treads but something to consider if this affects you. My small dog was welcome and we enjoyed the fenced yard and the mudroom (very convenient for drying a wet dog).

We are avid Short term rental travelers ourselves and have outfitted the home with just about everything you need and want for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
English and Dutch speaking, we enjoy hosting visitors from all over the world and have been hosting for over 12 years

We love Ballard for it proximity to Down town Seattle and all the great activities it offers. The new waterfront park added to Seattle Pike Place market with new aquarium addition is our favorite place to spend an afternoon sight seeing, eating great seafood and enjoying the water and mountain view. From there you can take a fun ride in the Seattle great wheel, walk to historic Pioneer Square or visit the Iconic Seattle Space needle.
Ballard itself offers access to Golden Gardens beach or Discovery Park for a fun local hike, both about a 10 minute drive from the home, perfect for watching our local wildlife and watching epic sunsets.
An easy 10 minute walk will lead you to the heart of Historic downtown Ballard filled with great restaurants, coffee shops, cocktail bars, shopping, ice cream shops, farmers market, local breweries and more. Enjoy a new movie release at the Majestic Bay theater or visit the Nordic Heritage Museum and learn about the history of this Scandinavian community. All within walking distance to the home, No car needed.

It's a 1906 original Ballard Farmhouse. Build solid and strong, every inch lovingly restored by us in 2021
We purchased this property because it is right new door to where we live. It was going to be purchased by developers and torn down and we wanted to preserve the history of this home. We spend 5 month lovingly remodeling every inch of the home and are so pleased to be able to offer it as a short term rental. We truly hope we did our part of preserving history for future generations to enjoy :)
