Property unavailable the fist night of our stay; had mold; host is uncommunicative

The house is in a great state of disrepair. Upon entering the living room, there is a fully broken floor lamp. The sofas are stained, especially the white one in the back room. The kitchen was dirty; there were coffee kcups in the almost bare cupboard that had mold and dirt on them. There were no utensils, not even silverware. There was a huge pile of trash outdoors, just outside of the kitchen side door. The trash can itself was overflowing, and there was at least 5 more trash cans worth of garbage piled next to it. There was mold in various places around the house, on ceilings and in bathrooms. Most notably, there was extensive mold in the closet, which we discovered at the end of our stay, as it rained and the roof leaked directly into the closet, making a puddle on the floor. A ceiling fan was loose and wobbly (like to the point of being unusable). The tv in the “second house” (which is where the third bedroom is, which the listing does not specify) is in disrepair, having a large line down the center. AC broke during our stay. There were no cleaning supplies for everyday tidying. Water damage. more.The host was largely non-communicative. Most notably, WE WERE NOT ABLE TO UTILIZE THE FIRST NIGHT OF OUR STAY. The key box was empty.VRBO was not of useful assistance; we were essentially left stranded for the night, which is why we went back to the property the next day (lack of alternate accommodation nearby) Still trying to resolve. SUB-PAR HOST AND VRBO SERVICE.

Gross - save yourself the hassle

Place has potential to be decent with about a weeks worth of deep cleaning. House smelled of a mixture of mold and cat urine. Bedroom door looks like it was kicked in, paint in the bathtub, paint peeling off of walls, window ac unit loose letting stuff crawl in, trash all over the yard, broken lamp, pool full of debris and obviously hasn’t been cleaned in a while. Such a shame because it’s in a nice neighborhood convenient to the airport and stores. Save yourself the same experience and book somewhere else.

Will not rent it again

The house is very old and not maintained.There is, at least one mouse in the house.There are cockroach.The wooden terrace is dangerous (holes, nails, etc.). Dangerous for kids.The sofa doesn't smell good.No cutlery in the kitchen.

Great Neighborhood, Okay House

Check in and communion with owner easy. The third bedroom was outside in the pool house and would like to of known that ahead of time. The deck was practically falling in and seriously a risk of danger but the pool and ground outside were well kept.

Needs a lot of repairs

Layout of house is good but needs a lot of repairs/maintenance. Front door had a hole to outside just blocked with duct tape, guesthouse with beds had broken slider and opening in door frames. The deck would have been great to relax on (one of the main reasons for renting) but wood was rotted and broken in multiple places making it unsafe to walk on which was a huge disappointment. Heated pool was cold upon arrival, the next day we figured out how to turn the heater on. There was no instruction or guide to help navigate amenities described in listed such as pool, tv and internet. Once the heater was going my kids did enjoy the pool. The gate upon entering the back yard had a broken lock so it would just swing open on its own. Kitchen didn’t have basic utensils or soap. It seems like things were bare minimally kemp and overlooked, Aesthetically and safety wise.

We did not stay! The house smelled disgusting like mold and mildew! Unlivable Dirty clothes laying around. Holes in doors and deck. Had to go to a hotel. Try to get a refund

West Palm Beach visit

We had a little hicup after check in but Kurt the owner responded immediately and helps us solve it. Greg, the property manager was there to some it. Great stay and will recommend them and would love to stay in their properties again.

Bday trip

Overall great experience, some minor issues such as a faulty ceiling fan and loose boards on back deck. Property and location was in summary made for a great brief getaway.

Awful

Went to first house. There was no key in the lock box, contacted the owner. He told me he had another property down the street that we can switch to. Offloaded all our clothes food everything got situated. The girls went to go take a shower find out we had no hot water. The gas meter had a lock on it so we waited a day for the gas company next day offered us a third house to switch to Which was nice, but had no pool and that’s what we paid for overall experience was horrible

Nice stay. Enjoyed the Pool

This was a nice place to stay. Enjoyed the pool everyday. Plenty of paper towels and TP for the bathroom. The floors did not appear to be swept but overall pretty clean. The listing does not mention full kitchen pretty well stocked. There's a gas grill (tank needs to be refilled, hope the owner has the cleaning company take care of that - ran out on me after my second grilling but I did not plan to grill any more after that) Also not in the listing is the bedroom with 2 twin beds is actually a separate building with it's own bathroom - kinda nice to have. Not sure what's in the area, except there is a Publix 2 blocks away. Only time we went out was to a club and Uber-ed it there. Overall enjoyed my stay and would rent again.

Very poor maintenance /great location

We arrived at the house at 10 pm and the house had no water, so we spent the first night without being able to bathe or use the toilets or anything. This was diluted until the middle of the next day, before this the owner refused and did not make any gesture of giving us some kind of compensation for the bad time. In addition, the house is in a very poor state of maintenance, there is nothing in the house, believe me, that is in good condition. furniture doors bathrooms floor painting etc. not counting the number of safty hazards. This property is not in conditions to be rented and less for that price.

Interesting experience

The owner contacted me the night before check-in to move us to another property close by...he stated the air conditioner was broken at this location. The property he moved us to only had 2 bedrooms. Since one of us had to now sleep on the sofa, he offered a $100 refund (which I never received). Upon check-in to the alternate property, the lock code did not work, so we were unable to get in. We sat in the back yard with our luggage and ordered food and water while the owner contacted his property mgmt. Neither of them could figure it out. Eventually the property mgr told me where I could find a spare key, which we located and finally got into the house. Once inside, it was hot and the thermostat read 82 degrees. We turned the air conditioner on, but it didn't work. Again, we went and sat in the backyard as there was a breeze and a bit cooler than inside the house. We wanted to take a dip in the pool to cool off, but it was dirty and had not been cleaned. A couple hours later, the a/c repairman came and fixed the air. We left for the evening and while gone, the property mgr came and cleaned the swimming pool and left champagne for the inconvenience. Upon showering that evening, we noticed there were no washcloths. We found them in the clothes dryer the morning of check out. Turned out to be quite a laughable experience due to the company kept, but I'm not happy I was never credited the $100 for being switched to a rental with less bedrooms.
