Bear camp Cabin Rentals proudly presents A Song Writers
Paradise Home to Legendary Country Music Song Writer Floyd
Parton. Brother to the one and only Dolly Parton. Floyd was
responsible for several hit songs. One of his most famous
was Rockin Years which was recorded as a duet by his
sister Dolly Parton and Ricky Van Shelton. The Parton's are no
strangers to the Great Smoky Mountains, as they were born and
raised here. Floyd lived on this very property for over 25 years. 
Dolly and her family renovated this property in his honor to
celebrate his life and achievements. Throughout the home, you
will find several hidden gems. Carved into the wooden staircase is
the name of all the hit songs Floyd wrote. Also, the wooden fixture
suspended over the kitchen table came from Locust Ridge, with
the jars representing the Parton siblings.
This home is a 3200 sq. ft 2 story 3-bedroom 2.5 bath with a
modern floorplan. You will fall in love with the three private
seating areas on the exterior of the house. Each with its own
personal touch to inspire your next creative work or simply just
relax and take in the almost 360-degree views of your choice.
Enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains or an amazing view of the city
skyline. This home is convenient to all areas of the Smokies.
Floyd's home was very private, with no close neighbors, and
surrounded by a 10ft privacy fence. There are no tall mountains to
climb to find this treasure, as it is hidden in plain sight. You can
imagine siblings sitting in the swing watching the sunset just like
the Parton's did throughout the years. This is a true gem of a
property that you and your family will surely remember for years
to come. So come and enjoy the history and luxury of A Song

Great House

Had a great stay at the house. Very private, a perfect getaway. Easy short drive with no traffic to Dollywood. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Hot tub and patio area made for nice evenings taking in the views. House is clean and modern, had everything you could ask for. Would stay again in a future trip to the area

Family outing

The place was amazing for our family of 5. Everything in this home was utilized by my adult children. It was a peaceful home to get away from the crowds in Gatlinburg! You could not see any homes around us. I would highly recommend this place!

A Must See!!!

Our weekend stay at Song Writers Paradise was absolutely wonderful! This very private sanctuary made it easy to forget that we were only minutes to local restaurants and attractions. The views were spectacular in all directions from sunrise to sunset. The host provided plenty of entertainment for everyone, from the game room to relaxing by the fire with family and friends we thoroughly enjoyed this comfortable home. We look forward to booking again soon! Thank you!

Wonderful

Our first time up there was shocking in that we went up through a questionable neighborhood. After that we found the other way. Whew!😊. We loved it! The home was bigger than we needed but it was great! At the time, the gate wasn’t working but it was fine.

Great Private Home

The home was awesome. The decor was really nice and the game room was used the whole time we were there. I think we may have been the first family to stay there, so there were some minor things that I'm sure will be addressed such as no broom or mop for spills, no iron or ironing board, not enough washcloths (it was four of us and there were only 3) small leak (maintenance was there when we were leaving to fix that), and the gate sensor needed adjusting. Other than that, it's a very nice home, not too far away from all the amenities, but secluded enough to not worry about the hustle and bustle. A privacy fence helped with keeping possible animals away and strangers that may have been "lost". Overall great stay and I would recommend it to anybody staying in that area. We may stay again if we come back in the spring.
