Designed by a famous Utah architect and decorated by an interior designer from Munich, Germany, this stunning 4,600 sq. ft. home is ideal for guests looking for an exceptional experience with an eye for entertaining. Unmatched panoramic views of gorgeous sunsets over Salt Lake City and the Great Salt Lake from every level and the deck called the "Sunset Lounge," have earned this beautiful home the name of the "House of the Setting Sun."

Hot tub, steam shower, pond, pool table, shuffle board table, Bocce ball court, outdoor gas fire pit. Themed rooms such as "The Royal Room" decorated after Versailles "Hall of Mirrors," and "The Moroccan Room," and a brand new king bedroom suite with second kitchen.

* Please note this is the owners primary residence. There is 1 indoor/outdoor cat that lives on the property, goes through a dog door, and is on an auto feeder. She mostly sleeps. Bonus, if you’re a cat lover.

** Operating under Utah Code 17-27a-526 as a Primary Dwelling owned and lived in by titled primary residence owner renting an internal accessory dwelling unit(s), complying with all applicable building, health, and fire codes, with accessible off-street parking provided.

I’ve stayed in many rentals over the years and my stay at Steffi’s house was one of my favorites. What a sunset view but I liked the night time view of the city lights even better. Traveled with my sons for a ski trip and had an amazing time. Her home is about a 30-40 min drive to all the major resorts.

She’s an interior designer and this shows in the incredible artifacts and furnishings throughout her home. Note that this is Steffi’s primary residence and she lives on the premises. Except when she checked us in, we never saw her and had ultimate privacy. Three cute cats live there so if you’re a cat lover, you’ll be right at home. Comfortable, clean rooms and beds with all the modern technologies you could want. Don’t hesitate to stay at Steffi’s house, the “House of the Setting Sun.” Highly recommend.

Unique house and amazing view

Beautiful property and amazing view. The house is very unique and has fun decor. The overall layout of the house is a little strange with the different levels and stairs. The property manager met us at the house and showed us around and explained the different themes in the rooms that are based on the places she has traveled. Definitely a different experience having the cats in the house with us (which she called out in the listing and notified us about ahead of time) but they were very nice. If you don't close your doors though they will definitely come and sleep on the bed with you. Unfortunately there were a couple of areas in the house that had a cat urine smell so we avoided those sitting areas. Some of the bedrooms are definitely better than others as one of the rooms has a paper wall so the light and noise from upstairs comes in and the temperature in that room was much colder than the others.

My house has been featured on the CBS TV show "Staycation" as a unique property in the world and been featured in music videos.

Art from around the world, themed rooms such as the "Royal Room" inspired by Versailles Hall of Mirrors or the Moroccan room. Plus, my home has some of the best views out of any home in the Salt Lake Valley.
