The Mason House (Circa 1902) offers almost 2,000 sqft of unique charm for you to relax, explore, and immerse yourself in the historic charm of downtown Wilmington. This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Walking distance to brunch, bars, breweries, coffee, wedding venues and so much more.

The Brooklyn Arts Center is just steps away.

The modern updates give this 1902 cottage a luxury twist. The Mason House is a must stay during your next visit to downtown Wilmington.

ABOUT THE SPACE:

This gorgeous Neo-Classical Bungalow has all of the charm of the 1900's with all of the updates of a modern home. Within walking distance to all things fabulous downtown - Flytrap Brewing, Edward Teach, Brooklyn Arts District, the Wilson Center and more. Original hardwood floors and moldings, 11 ft ceilings and stained-glass windows convey richness and volume.

You will be pleasantly surprised to find almost 2,000 sqft in this eclectic home. A full remodel was done recently - including a dream kitchen with granite countertops, double wall ovens, a professional-grade cooktop, pot filler and custom coffee/wine bar with a wine refrigerator.

The master suite and guest suite are both on the main level with King size beds. All bathrooms are updated. The master bathroom includes the original claw-foot tub, tiled walk-in shower and double vanities. You will find a private laundry room tucked away between the kitchen and master bedroom for convenience. There is an abundance of storage/closets throughout the home and 4 decorative fireplaces.

Upstairs you will find the 3rd room with a queen bed and around the corner there is a twin bed. Also upstairs you’ll find another full bathroom and cozy nooks for reading. Step out the back door downstairs to a private porch with string lights, perfect for lounging and sipping your favorite drink with friends.

The Mason House was a wonderful home to stay in. So close to everything we needed. Our daughter got married at the Brooklyn Arts Center this house is in walking distance from the venue!! The house was clean, organized, and ready for us as we were traveling in. We loved staying in the historic district. Lydia was fantastic she answered any questions I had before arriving. The check in and out process was so simple. Stay here you won’t regret it!!

Great Location/Charming House

Great location with easy access to the downtown. The house was clean and well-appointed. We were in town over a long weekend for a wedding and the house was perfect for our group of 3 adults and 3 kids.

Super cute and great location

Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Perfect location and walking distance to everything downtown. It was a beautifully decorated historical home. Checkin was easy. Checkout checklist explained everything we needed to do.

Great stay

My family took a weekend trip to Wilmington to enjoy the downtown area. The house was very clean and spacious. It’s a historic house with many nice updates to provide comfort. It had everything we needed and was in a great location. There’s also many local eats and stores that are excellent. We would definitely return and stay at the Mason House again.

Great Experience

We loved the Mason House. It was better than expected, and we expected it to be great! Roomy, inviting, clean, and accomodating. The host was gracious and was quick to respond to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect In Every Way!

Eye opener for sure. Just as listed ...with every amenity needed. My other house guests just adored this house. They wanted to live there...forever. Me too! The house was beautiful, but my niece in her wedding dress stole the show for the weekend. Many thanks for all of the great memories!

Christmas in Wilmington

Our daughter had to work and couldn't make it home for the holiday, so we went to her. The house was perfect for our plans - lots of eating, watching TV and board game playing ;) The house has a beautiful and charming interior, is spacious and well-appointed and the amenities top notch. The kitchen was a joy to cook in, the sofa in the TV viewing area was comfortable, the size of the TV was perfect scale for that space and the dining table was the perfect size for playing board games. The neighborhood is historic and quiet - just what we were looking for. A very nice Christmas in a lovely home :)

Guys trip

Group of us guys get together every year and go somewhere, unfortunately this year I got hurt, no fault to anyone or anything. But what a vibrant town. Great food and venues would like to see more vegetarian options. The Mason house is as depicted. Loved the front porch rocking chairs. Neighbors are friendly, as is the town. Only downside is parking downtown and traffic cameras. Definitely will come back.

Lovely property and responsive property manager

The size, layout and bedroom/bed configuration worked well for my group of friends in town for an athletic event. The needs of individuals can be quite different from family needs and this house proved to be the perfect solution. It was nice to be able to hang out at the house to relax, make meals or to work. The WIFI seemed to be adequate for those working, which was a bonus. The convention center was within walking distance, as well as the downtown area. This was the reason why we chose this place and we were happy. Our only hiccup was the thermostat/heat for the house. It seems that they recently installed a NEST device where the guest doesn't have access to full control, but this was remedied within the day. It would have been nice to have written instructions on use and what to do. The kitchen isn't the most equipped for "full on" cooking, which is something that we did and may not be important for many. I've booked other houses that were better and worse. Lydia was great - she was responsive to our needs. Thanks for a lovely stay.

I can tell you all the best local restaurants and bars to check out, along with some great tips on where you should go for a great sunset view. My goal is that every guest has a 5 star experience during their stay. And hey, if you decide its time to have a place for yourself on the coast of NC, I can help with that too.

You will be pleasantly surprised to find almost 2,000 sqft in this eclectic home. A full remodel was done recently - including a dream kitchen with granite countertops, double wall ovens, a professional-grade cooktop, pot filler and custom coffee/wine bar with a wine refrigerator. 2 Kings, 1 queen, and 1 twin bed allow for the whole family to come and enjoy a getaway vacation comfortably.

The location could not be more ideal for our guests to step off the front porch and begin exploring all that downtown Wilmington has to offer.
