We love to travel and adventure! My wife Amber and I are avid trail runners and spend most of our free time playing in the outdoors. Our son is less keen on the running and fancies hiking a bit more, but we all share in our love of nature and exploring our outdoor playgrounds. We call Flagstaff, AZ home but try to travel frequently for fun and to visit family and friends. We hope you enjoy our home away from home in Phoenix!

We bought this home in the summer of 2022 because we love coming down to the desert to enjoy some sunshine and exploring nearby desert mountains and trails. We had two main criteria - that it be near the Phoenix mountain parks and other greenways and trails, and that it have a pool! Our favorite thing is to get out for a run or a bike ride and flop into the pool afterward to cool off and recover. The hot tub is a nice added bonus to soak sore muscles at the end of a big day! We are working on transforming the backyard into a tropical escape, and cultivating desert and native landscaping in the front yard. We hope that you'll come back year after year to watch the transformation - and hopefully there will be fresh fruit for you to harvest soon! We have planted numerous palm trees and are working on nursing an old, neglected orange tree back to health. More recently we planted some passion fruit vines and other shrub species to complement with some tropical colors and someday soon - fruit!

North Mountain Park with numerous trails is only about 2 miles away, with several trailheads to choose from. Cave Creek Golf Couse and the park and greenway by the same name are only about a mile away. The trail systems of North Mountain Park and Cave Creek connect seamlessly with MANY miles of trails across the city. Westown City Park is a couple blocks away, and a great spot to throw a frisbee or ball and catch the sunset. Cactus Park is about a mile away and has numerous soccer fields, basketball courts, and a sizeable children's playground. To top it all off, Castles n' Coasters theme park is just a few miles away. It is a fun, smaller park with a dozen or so rides, including a couple water rides, an extensive indoor video game arcade, and four 18-hole mini golf courses. We were surprised how much fun we had taking family and friends there! Rates are very reasonable.
