Family reunion

We enjoyed our stay very much at the cottage, it was perfect for our multi generational family. It was exactly as advertised and the most stocked VRBO we have ever stayed in, We got spoiled cooking on the amazing gas stove! The cottage is about 20-25 min to Fairhaven historic district/Western WA and only 15 min to whatcom falls park, gorgeous this time of year! We would highly recommend staying here and we will be back! Nice, Comfortable home

The house was were nice, tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable. We loved sitting on the large porch - great for family time. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Beautiful Property

This home was just perfect. Location was great, it was spotlessly clean, well appointed, 3 King size beds that were really comfortable, perfect for multiple families or a group of adult couples. No couple had to squish into a smaller bed. We will definitely rent this property again. The owner was also very helpful during the booking process when I had some difficulties with an incorrect email address aligned to the booking. Overall great experience!

Retro

We had a wonderful stay at this property. We all loved the way it was so retro decorated. Clean and comfortable, well stocked kitchen. They had toys and books for small children. My granddaughter loved the bunkbeds. We golfed and swam in the lake. It needs a barbecue that does not need croquet's. We would stay here again.

Beautiful accommodation for our family getaway

Love the location and scenery! Neighbourhood was so peaceful and remote yet close to shopping if needed. Loved waking up to seeing the deer roaming. Definitely would come again

Lovely Place in the Woods

The house is well decorated. The kitchen has everything you need to make a lovely meal. The rooms are furnished tastefully. The washer and dryer are great. It was a wonderful 2 day stay which I wished could have been longer.

Cozy and comfortable

I truly loved sipping coffee on the spacious front porch. The house is beautiful and the 3 king beds was a plus. The walks in the neighborhood was so serene and beautiful. We were there for a golf tournament and looking forward to next years visit.

Washington get away

Beautiful neighbor. The cottage was well equipped and included everything we need to make our stay enjoyable . Only criticism is that there iare no dressers or shelves in the closet so you can.unpack your bags.

A lovely home and neighborhood

Corinne’s house is just lovely. The beds and furniture are very comfortable. She provided nice amenities. We all loved the big trees in the neighborhood. Lots of nice walks to be had. The location close enough to grocery stores. There are several nature areas that are very close by and made for interesting hikes. We all appreciated this property.

Gorgeous cottage in a woodsy, peaceful atmosphere

I loved this house! Beautifully decorated, with attention to every detail. I felt like I was staying in a luxury hotel. Delicious coffee, fireplace that turns on and off with the push of a button, tasteful and comfortable furniture, lovely touches like throw blankets - I felt so at home! The neighborhood of Sudden Valley is gorgeous, full of mature evergreen trees, quiet, and bordered by Lake Whatcom. I loved sitting on the covered front porch with my morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Sudden Valley has little beaches on the lake and hiking trails that are fun to visit (and an outdoor pool in summer). If a gorgeous house in a beautiful natural setting is what you're looking for, this is the place for you!

Great Experience!

The cottage was super clean! Our #1 expectation. The layout was perfect for 4-6 persons. 2 spacious bedrooms with king size beds and a full bathroom downstairs. A very large master suite upstairs. All the beds were very, very comfortable. Caspers. What was described as a '2nd living area' was really a lovely space in the master suite with comfy couches and a TV. Also the 4th bedroom with bunkbeds was really a large area, with door, inside the master suite. Perfect for someone with small children to keep close. But it was all done very nicely. Everything you would need was there...kitchen, laundry, cleaning supplies. Only thing missing was kleenex, so bring your own. The downstairs living area was lovely. Spacious, nicely decorated with a nice firplace. Come prepared to sign in to your own streaming if you want see anything special. The kitchen had a large, movable table. Perfect for gathering, playing cards & games. We loved that the house was 'street level' with a very large front porch and chairs. Pleasantly surprised with the drive in, covered carport. Room for 2-3 cars in the driveway. All in all it was a super nice place to stay. The ONLY reason for only 4 stars is the back, tiny deck and yard has other house's back yards so close and facing you. Great host, Corinne, to work with! Thank you.

Perfect Family Getaway

My sister, 8yo daughter and I came from out of state to visit family for my aunt's memorial service. I am familiar with the area and so I chose this Sudden Valley cottage over a place closer to town because I just love the wooded, quiet setting of Sudden Valley and the local beauty of Lake Whatcom and this place did not disappoint! Due to a last minute change of plans we ended up needing to gather a small group at the house to go through family photos and family treasures and the peaceful and quiet setting of Corrinne's house made an otherwise stressful and sad time a warm and memorable family gathering. The house is even cuter than the pictures, with a great front porch with string lights for enjoying the crisp mountain air. The front room is cozy with electric fireplace and flat screen tv (which we just played music on via bluetooth - easy to set up) and opens to the roomy kitchen with a large kitchen table breakfast nook. We didn't do any cooking during our stay but had food from the local pizza and pasta restaurant Tino's (I highly recommend the smoked salmon fettuccine!). They even have a fancy coffee maker (although I had to do some googling to figure out how to use it - damn good cup of coffee!) There is a bathroom and two bedrooms downstairs and my sister said her bed was so comfortable she hasn't slept that good in ages. My daughter and I stayed upstairs in the massive master bedroom that included an attached room equipped with bunkbed and twinkle lights perfect for kids, and a seating area with a big sofa and another tv. There is a bathroom upstairs that is well appointed with everything you would expect and soft towels. Note, the PNW is very humid so I am pretty sure there was a dehumidifier that kept kicking on and off, maybe because I had the bedroom windows open, but closing the bathroom door worked so that it didn't wake me up. Honestly I can't say enough good things about this place, it was so lovely.

We enjoy hosting friends, both new and old. We also enjoy many outdoor activities, but at the end of the day want to sleep in comfort. The interior of this cottage was carefully designed for comfort and style. No one has to fight over who gets the big king-sized bed because all the bedrooms (except the bunk room) have king beds. Spread out in the two living rooms, or hang out all together in the open kitchen/dining/lounge space.

Located just outside of the city of Bellingham, and close to many recreational opportunities, this cottage is ideally located for outdoor adventures. North Cascades National Park, Mt. Baker Ski Resort, Lake Whatcom, Sudden Valley Golf Course, Galbraith, Chuchanut Mt. bike trails, Bellingham water front, San Juan Islands, Vancouver, BC, Skagit Valley Tulip Festival are all within an easy day-trip, or closer.
