Set commandingly across from Mirror Lake, guests enjoy front row seats to spectacular lake and southern Adirondack range views, combined with a sought after village location that is walking distance to Main street shops, restaurants and olympic venues.

A recent guest shared this message during their stay, "The house is beautiful and challenges our motivation to be outside." We totally get it, happens to us too. Lake gazing never gets old!

Ample in scale, yet comfortable and inviting, this is a great spot to relax, unwind and reconnect with friends and family. Greystone Lodge features two stone fireplaces, an open floor plan, abundant natural light and exceptional living spaces for family and friends. A gourmet kitchen is complemented by a formal dining table with seating for 8 while the 5 furnished outdoor areas provide multiple opportunities for gathering. 4 BR, 4.5 BA, 5 furnished outdoor spaces, 4 car parking including heated garage with EV charger. 15 minutes to Whiteface Ski.

4 spacious and well appointed bedrooms:
Main floor Suite (king): includes a custom fireplace, walk in closet, private screened porch and full bathroom with a walk in shower with separately controlled dual shower heads. Many of our reservations are for just one couple and this main floor suite is such a relaxing space. We really feel like we are 'away' when we are up here.


Bedrooms 2 & 3: The second floor features two beautiful guest suites (queen bed), each with a generously sized walk in closet (built in shelving, ample hanging space and hangers) and an ensuite full bathroom. Private from each other and the rest of the home. The 2nd floor loft lounge area and balcony, combined with these bedrooms makes for a really lovely space for guests.

Bunk Room: Lower level bunk room is huge and boasts three bunks (each is a twin over full bed) with an adjacent full bath.

These are 4 real bedrooms, not just a space with a bed added.

And more: There is a mountain of pillows to choose from (two for each bed plus extras), high end linens and each bedroom has its own sitting area, thermostat  (radiant in floor heating), room darkening shades or blinds and two full size dressers in addition to closets making for a comfortable and effortless travel experience.

Entertain friends and family: loft living room with lounge & balcony and loads of board games & puzzles; main floor living room with TV, fireplace, abundant seating, beautiful views; and a lower level family room equipped with game rooms  (ping pong, pool table, foosball) and a movie/game console lounge space. Host your own tournament of champions or a relaxing movie night with popcorn. 5 furnished outdoor spaces with views of beautiful Mirror Lake offer a perfect place to relax after a day of telecommuting or a rigorous day of outdoor activity.

Ideal for a luxury break, Greystone Lodge is convenient to 4-Seasons of outdoor activities and is a great location for family friendly day trips, beautiful scenic drives and is an easy walk to local shops & restaurants, or enjoy one of our favorites, relax with the view.   In the winter, you are steps away from walking right onto Mirror Lake for some winter wonderland adventure and in the summer grab one of our lake floats and head to the sandy beach or pop in along the way. 15 minutes to Whiteface ski and walking distance to Olympic oval & rinks.

The kitchen is well stocked for baking, grilling and family meal prep and includes a 6 burner gas stove with two ovens, an island that seats 5, and an adjacent screened porch with a propane grill and outdoor dining area. A coffee break couldn't be easier, chose from an espresso pot, french press, drip coffee maker or a keurig machine. We cook, bake and grill A LOT and love that we have space for multiple chefs and can comfortably entertain family and friends while whipping up a meal. A large 8 seat dining area completes the main level.

Got Gear? Winter gear? Summer gear? Our heated garage is the unsung essential amenity for an ADK winter. EV charging available. Take advantage like a group of NCAA skiers who set up their ski-tuning operation in the garage or like a group of outdoor enthusiasts traveling with 6 custom bikes, 4 bulky golf bags and one sportsman's lifetime collection of fishing gear, all stashed and staged securely and conveniently, allowing our guests to come and go easily between activities.

Our home away from home is fully furnished and equipped with more than just the essentials to make this a great getaway for family and friends. A few of the welcome extras include: waffle maker, spice drawer, grill w/propane, kitchen-aid mixer & baking pans, loads of board games & puzzles, picnic basket & beach towels, Sonos speakers & Lutron lighting, shampoo, conditioner, body wash & hair dryer in each full bath. All beds dressed and ready to go making for an effortless stay in beautiful Lake Placid.

Please carefully review house rules, items mentioned here and the lease that is presented during the reservation process to ensure this is a good match for you and your guests.

*Short term rental permit: 2025-STR-0339. Long term welcome too.
*Our calendar: please inquire for dates further than 12 months.
*Friend of the House: we are fortunate to host annual repeat guests each season. A good majority of our bookable days are now being held for our friends of the house. Please inquire about blocked dates and reach out to become a friend of the house too.
*Remote work? We've spent many weeks here as a WFH location and it's great! Includes: desk w/monitor on main floor (printer available), desk in 2nd floor bedroom, desk in loft and great WIFI throughout the home. Please message us if you would like to know more and happy to help arrange things on our end for best circumstances (need an additional monitor or the printer set up in a specific spot?).
*1 dog possible, pet addendum (signed by booker and pet owner) and fee applies. Reach out for pet addendum please.
- Service/therapy/support/whatever you are calling it - not allowed to be left in the home alone at all. Must keep leashed at all times and walk to end of property to urinate.
*Air Conditioning: window AC units installed each summer season in 2nd floor bedrooms, main floor bedroom, main floor living space.
*fire-pit & stone-patio furniture are seasonal and may be stored during winter conditions
*4 wheel drive/AWD recommended for winter driving conditions.

*NEST doorbell at side entrance, NEST security camera over garage/driveway, facing front, back, all are motion sensitive/on (24/7), records audio/video. Used to facilitate check ins, guest occupancy and parking, monitor work in progress, deliveries, propane tank re-fill, inspections, and security of our home in our absence. Smart doorbells, smart sensors, used to detect tobacco, marijuana, noise, occupancy, trespassing.
*Occupancy: day/night occupancy is limited to amount in reservation. If you wish to host something in our home please reach out to review what is possible (BBQ, catered dinner, anything, host approval required) as we are a “no event, no party”. Please account for all day use/overnight guests in your guest count.
*No Smoking premises includes no cigarettes, cigars, vaping, marijuana, etc and includes indoor and all outdoor spaces. No smoking Outdoor includes: driveway, garage, balcony, porches, firepit area, yard. If you have a smoker in your group we are not a good match. If you/guests wish to smoke marijuana we are not a good match. Do not rent this property if you wish to smoke.
*Bunk beds are: two twin over full, 1 twin over futon couch that opens to full bed.
*Parking: up to 4 vehicles. no street parking available in this neighborhood, typical of LP. If parking for more than 4 vehicles is needed we would not be a good match.
*Community regulations include: quiet hours 9pm - 7am, no firepit fire after 10pm,  no parking on lawn.
*we are across the street from Mirror Lake.

We work hard to receive great reviews, when we do we are grateful and appreciative. It is the result of a lot of hard work. Our cleaning crew is top notch, professional, and a pleasure to work with. As owners and hosts, we are on top of maintenance and improvements, both large and small, from our annual refinishing of exterior furniture to our regular walkthroughs with a paint brush and patch kit.

A golf game at your fingertips, just around the corner. Watch the Ironman from your front row seat. Stroll into town for some of the best local food around while enjoying a shop or two along the way.

This is a fantastic house, we really feel like we get away up here. Grand and spacious yet cozy. Great floor plan. Really large bedroom suites. Walk-in closets! Gorgeous lake view. Room for everyone. Five different outdoor spaces to gather and hang out. Super convenient walk-to-village location but still a very private feel, we don't really 'see' any neighbors the way the home is oriented - just a beautiful view of the lake. Super large kitchen with a giant conversation island - everyone can lend a hand in the kitchen! We get our best sleep up here. We WFH a lot and we love how we can work a full day and still pack in some good morning paddling or evening fishing, have time for an afternoon hike up Cobble Hill or a bit of golf, stroll down to Olympic center for public skate, and so much more.

We think guests will love:
- multi level floor plan allows hosting family and friends with comfort and ease: private bedroom suites, three separate lounge/living room areas, dining area, dining porch and kitchen island seats five, cozy sitting areas in each bedroom, heated garage for cars or gear, game rooms (that are in the home not converted garage space).
- behind the scenes: Lutron lighting including PICO switches, these are awesome and make dealing with lighting in an unfamiliar location a breeze; radiant in floor heat with 14 individual thermostats allowing maximum control for guests; AC for three of four bedrooms, a rarity in the Adirondacks (note: lower level bedroom maintains natural coolness); FANTECH, a whole home fresh air appliance, if you know you know - a real plus; two humidifiers for guest use; great WIFI with boosters placed strategically to ensure great coverage throughout the entire home.
