This cottage, even in chilly November, was utterly charming, spotless and beautifully appointed. Cozy and inviting with comfy beds. The deck and gas fireplace were incredible. I’d love to come in summer too!

Fabulous property. Spotless, well maintained, excellent communication with owners. Use of paddleboards/kayaks for entire length of stay was amazing. View from deck for sunsets were breathtaking. Will definitely return.

Perfection!

This property was absolutely gorgeous in every way. Brand new renovations, extremely clean, with an incredible view! It had everything we needed for our stay and was perfect for a family. We’d love to stay here again if we ever travel back to the area!

Great weekend getaway

We stayed in February to visit my son who attends UVM. The house is completely done with new features and large windows to view the lake. Even though it was 15F it was nice and warm . Easy access to restaurants in Burlington and a great kitchen to cook in. Would love to come back in the summer enjoy the deck and the lake.

Clean and Cozy Cottage

Excellent location close to everything, still get a private feeling and an excellent view. We stayed during the winter. It was a calm and peaceful view of the water with no boats driving by. Gas fireplace was very nice, and the different heat/AC zones are a great feature! Accommodations were excellent and we had everything we needed, from a wine opener, to binoculars, and coffee. We highly recommend this cottage!

Amazing Lakeside Retreat!

I couldn’t have been happier with Neil and Deb’s place! Everything was smooth as far as getting there and checking in, and the house is immaculate. Everything felt fresh and ready for us to enjoy ourselves. Would definitely recommend their place if you’re looking for quick access to Burlington, but a slightly quieter lakeside stay. It would be amazing during the summer. I’d love to come back!

Perfect spot, beautiful home!

We loved our stay here...the house is super clean, newly renovated and beautifully decorated. Of course, the view is the STAR! We visit Burlington often so it was perfect since the house was so close (15-minute drive) yet felt more secluded. Neil was very responsive and accommodating. Bonus: being able to rent his pontoon boat right from the backyard to enjoy an afternoon on the lake!

Beautiful vacation home

Home looks brand new and was super clean. Everything was in good working order, including an amazing wood stove that kept us very toasty! The view of the bay was beautiful and lots of restaurants, gas stations, banks, etc. close. Property owner communicated well and we had everything we needed! Will return!

Cozy space with Gorgeous Views!

This was our first visit to Vermont and we will be back and we will stay in Mallets Bay, in this beautiful, cozy, inviting and lovely cottage that has EVERYTHING you can want - to stay it was perfect would be an understatement. We simply did not want to leave. When it was sunny we sat on the deck, when it was cooler we turned on the fireplace and enjoyed the view of the water. We cooked dinner with local ingredients. It was just the best! Thank you for having us!

Lovely little house

This lovely little cottage was cozy and clean, and had beautiful decor. The back deck was amazing. We loved using the paddle boards and kayaks. The big negative was all the goose poop in the grass. It smelled and made it hard to walk to the water. We could not sit down by water at all. And the hill was a bit hard to walk up and down.

Beautiful Lake House

The view does not disappoint! It is just as amazing as it looks in the video. We didn't realize before we went that when you are there you have access to tons of paddleboards and kayaks as well as a rowboat. It is an easy drive to Burlington and there is a great general store right down the street where you can find anything you forgot. It's on a busy street but it is very quiet inside. The house is well stocked with cookware but note that you want to bring any extra garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels etc (as a family of 4 for a week we needed extra). Same with foil or anything extra that you might need to cook. Also, with two small kids we drink a ton of coffee and the coffee pot is small one. Lots of storage in baskets and drawers but no hanging closet storage. I would book again and have passed along the info on this rental to others since coming home!

We finished building/remodeling Lakeshore Vermont in 2016. We both were in the professional fields until we ventured into being Inn owners. We are enjoying the adventure of being in the hospitality business.
