This newly renovated north shore lake front property boasts the most ideal location in Nelson. Featuring stunning views, an exceptionally private beach - located one mile from town, 30 mins from WH20 (ski hill) and 5 mins from Nelson's most popular hiking trail.

The three bedroom, two bathroom home has a custom kitchen and dining area - perfect for entertaining. The finished walkout basement offers a full equipped mud room for you to dry out your ski or beach gear.

Although only listed as a three bedroom, the recreation room can act as a semi private fourth bedroom with a queen sized pull out couch. There is a separate lockable detached shed for your sporting gear. Please note that the home has a strict no hosted events/parties policy. Max occupancy is 6 people. All registered guests/visitors must be pre-approved through property manager. Also - while we love animals, we cannot accommodate pets.

This was a fantastic property for our group of 6 adults. Waking up to the water view and enjoying the patio each morning was a highlight. The weather cooperated and we were able to take out the paddleboards, which was an added bonus. It was just a quick drive (or longer walk) to town and also close to the popular Pulpit Rock hike which was definitely worth doing! The unit was 10 in cleanliness which is very important to us. If our get together happens again in Nelson we would definitely rebook this property.

A gorgeous retreat

Such a beautiful space! A modern tasteful place with every convenience. A seriously beautiful beach. Quiet, secluded - though just minutes from town. Amazing view! Geese, merganzers and a cute family of otters swimming by on occasion. So much beauty. Host Jake was very welcoming.

Lovely Early Autumn Stay

We've visited Nelson many times in the winter, and love it, but had never been there in the summer. The Hidden Half Mile Lake House was a perfect place to stay to experience Nelson when the leaves are still on the trees. The waterfront access was great, and, as we were blessed with generally warm and dry weather, we were in the water pretty well every day SUPing, kayaking, and just taking dips in the lake. We enjoyed the hot tub as well, alternating between going down to the cool (cold) water of the lake and then coming back up and re-heating while taking in the views. The place is close to town by car. Lovely neighbours, with active kids running around (and who even brought us a gift of some flowers and plums). And Jake and Mariah were super helpful throughout. Recommended!

We had a great time in Nelson. Our group of 4 had a great amount of room. It was very clean inside. The view was amazing. Hot tub was a great feature in the evenings or early mornings.

What a fabulous property! The cleanest house I have ever rented! The views were lovely, hot tub was excellent, and we were thrilled to have access to the kayak and paddle board. The rooms were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. I will recommend to others and would definitely stay again!

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

The half mile lake house is situated in a perfect little Kootenay community. Located within 30 mins of WH20, fresh tracks are waiting for you. Ski season starts Dec 1st, and ends first weekend of April.
Located right on the property, our super private beach is usable all year round. It is common to see kayaks gliding by on the glassy morning lake all year round. You are welcome to use ours and see for yourself.
We particularly love having a winters eve fire on the beach or just gazing at the lake and the mountains from the hot tub. It gets dark early in Nelson in the winter (4:30pm) which makes for unbelievable star gazing.
You will not want to leave.

Please note that we do not recommend this property for anyone with mobility issues. There are a few different sets of stairs to enter the home, and stairs down to beach.

While you are staying at Hidden Half Mile, you will have exclusive access to the property (that is - there are no other occupied dwellings onsite). The property is quite large and the beach is super private and sandy (although water levels are high in the spring everywhere on west kootenay lake). The beach has a fantastic beach shelter that is ideal for beach dinners. The beach has a fire pit. The main house has a large deck which also has an outdoor dining table, umbrella, barbecue etc.

The lockable spacious shed has been cleared out for guests to store their sporting gear.

The main house has an upstairs and walkout basement with a mudroom fully equipped to dry your ski boots or beach gear (to to make a mad dash to the year round hot tub).
