Contemporary family comfort and a convenient location just a short drive from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are what you'll find at this woodsy retreat! Within easy reach of Branch Lake, and just minutes from downtown Ellsworth, the home offers an ideal basecamp for year-round rest and recreation. Enjoy blue sky days at home while lounging on the fully screened private deck. In the evenings gather around the firepit for s'mores and starlight conversation.

Inside, strong natural lighting floods the space, while everyday home essentials include a full kitchen and a private washer/dryer. Lobster pots are even provided so you can have your own authentic Maine lobster boil! After the day's adventures, unwind in the living area with shows and movies on the TV. Friendly competition awaits on the in-home Ping-Pong table. The property's double-lot size provides plenty of space for outdoor living and entertainment.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 6 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Enjoyed our stay here immensely

I love this house! It was very clean, the location is beautiful, the decor and the rugs are amazing. The rooms and the furniture are so accommodating for a comfortable stay. In the evenings after sightseeing all day, we had so much fun playing games in the basement or cards at the kitchen table. We greatly appreciate that there were ample supplies of all the necessities. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

cozy maine house

I loved how homey the house was! We had so much fun relaxing and playing ping pong and watching VHS tapes after a long day of hiking in Acadia and touring around the area. The house is on a quiet road and is an easy drive to the Maine road, which we were able to take to Acadia and Campo Bello Island (our two big trips).

Nice home base for Acadia park region

Nice quiet north woods property within an hours drive of Acadia national park and surroundings. Comfortable family rooms, kitchens and beds. No wifi or live tv if you need that but cell service was adequate for most needs. Good place to disconnect from the grid for awhile and enjoy this part of Maine.

Quiet meighborhood

We enjoyed our stay for a short visit to Acadia. House as advertised. 30 minutes to park and restaurants not too far away from home. Our pup loved it too!

A great place to get away for sure! The place was real clean, cozy, and comfortable. The ping-pong table, dartboard and downstairs area was a great place to hang out. It was nice to get back to watching movies at night and playing games with the family. Look forward to staying again!

The place was spacious and clean. Overall it was a wonderful stay. The only concern was that the beds were a little lumpy, however, for the most part, we were able to sleep.

Very clean, secluded, quiet

Overall we were happy but not wowed. It would have been nice if the listing included the fact that there was no air conditioning or live TV capabilities.

Clean House

Do not have enough room to write everything that was wrong. In a brief, house was clean. Things that were wrong, broken knob on only window ac unit in the kitchen could not turn off could only unplug, microwave turn table does not go around and makes a loud humming noise, dryer broken (we were there 8 days on the next to last day the sent someone to fix it.), lots of large black ants, bi-fold doors to laundry area do not stay in track, window track does not hold window open in bedroom, screen old on different window and ripped out same bedroom , chair fell through deck/porch never sent anyone to fix it, luckily no broken bones for the older gentleman was only bruised up, TV could not get any channels, DVD player broken, no grill, no fire pit ring had to asked for that neighbor brought one over or got it from somewhere, ground fault breaker for coffee maker keeps tripping, the screen door to screened in porch it rotting away needs to be replaced, coffee maker did not produce hot coffee found a different one coffee was a little hotter. Exterior appearance from add to actual, exterior needs to be power washed, landscaping needs some TLC and fenced back yard for pet needs a lot more trimming up and dog house needs to be cleaned and presentable. They did bring a 20’ retractable clothes line and pins (not long enough could only do eight T-Shirts) Exterminator showed up day after we arrived to spray for ants unannounced. Not happy with this Vrbo - Vacasa.

Will not rent here again, need to check out all appliances.

Our stay here was not fully what we expected. The location was definitely too far from Acadia and Bar Harbor. It is a nice country setting but you have to drive an hour to hike Acadia and see Bar Harbor, not 30 minutes. The basement game room was a nice feature. My biggest complaint is that it was hot during our stay, there is NO AC and the one ceiling fan in the living room was not working!! This made for a very uncomfortable stay. Then our code for the house stopped working, they did help us promptly with getting access to the house. I requested to check out just an hour later, and they didn’t allow it. So not happy with the customer service to at least try to compensate for the fact that we had no ceiling fan to move the air around. One more inconvenience was the newer coffee makers on the counter did not work. Please check all appliances before renting this property so that what you advertise is actually functional.
