Has Potential, BUT

Needs a DEEP cleaning and a handy man. No smoke detectors. Half of the lights did not work. Door handles were loose. No place to put your luggage. No bedside lamp. A vine was growing through the window and up the wall in the bedroom. Front door was difficult to open and close.

Home away from home

It was everything we thought it would be. The house was very cozy. And you can feel very safe knowing a state trooper lives next door. I will definitely stay here again

Nice for the size and price

Nice open areas. Having a full bath and a half bath was very convenient for my wife and I. The wi-fi worked good. The only thing I would add to the house would be more end tables for the couch, love seat and bed. Otherwise, a very nice place for the price. Convenient location to downtown, McNeese and casinos. While we were there it was very peaceful and quiet. I would recommend this place for your next visit to Lake Charles.

Unfinished Property & Bugs

We were greeted by a Cockroach running across the floor as we attempted to locate a light switch that would turn on another light. The exterior light waa not working, a hole is where. Smoke detector should be and many light fixtures were missing bulbs. Light switches often did not turn anything on. There is a piece of molding missing to enter the bedroom which is a slight height above the other room (be careful!). There as a fair amount of dust and dead bugs (including a dead cockroach) as well as other living bugs. We found the source of this the next morning when we realized that the weather stripping was missing from the front door leaving a gap that lowed bugs to enter and potentially other visitors which I was not going to find out. We took showers where we were greeted by mold on the shower liner. We are still waiting on a refund as we determined this was not a place that we could stay. I'm not a fan of sleeping with the cockroaches on the stained sheets of the bed
