The House of Kai, 1 Block From The Beach

Summary:
The House of Kai is a 1950's beach cottage that features a surf shack charm with a modern edge. The main bedroom has a private deck that includes an oversized tub and shower with access to the large wrap around front porch. We are located on the north end of Carolina Beach which is known for it's laid back vibe. Although very private, please note that the driveway and backyard are a shared space w/our other rentals at the back of the property.

The Space:
We also supply the following for each property:
A starter kit of one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, a trash bag, and dish soap. We also supply laundered bed linens, comforters, and 1 bathing towel and wash cloth per person. We do not supply any beach gear or beach towel. We have great rental companies on the island we would be more than happy to share the info with you. We also do not supply laundry detergent, body soap or shampoo/conditioner as we find everyone has their own preferences for these =) Please review our house rules prior to your stay

Guest Access:
The driveway, backyard, and outdoor shower are shared with our two other rentals on the property.

The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is close to everything. Mix of vacationers and year round residents.

Getting Around:
- Free parking at home

-Walk, bike, public parking at beaches and in town

-Bike and golf cart rentals are available on the island- let our Going Coastal team know if you need any recommendations.

-Uber cars and taxi's are also available

Other Things to Note:
- Centrally located to access all outdoor activities "Pleasure Island" has to offer fishing, boating, biking, surfing, kayaking, and deep sea charters. Many amazing restaurants, eclectic drinking holes and coffee shops + Historic Ft. Fisher and the NC Aquarium. Check out Carolina Beach’s new mural project too!
- Wilmington Airport and Downtown Wilmington less than 40 mins away.
- Take the ferry to enjoy Southport for the day!

Clean and Comfortable

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: such a nice place to stay. I didn’t want to go home. short walk to the beach and a very close beach access. I’m definitely planning on coming back to this location next year!

Not as expected

A bit disappointed in the quality for the price. We splurged on this property for a couples weekend getaway. The listing said newly renovated however everything in the kitchen/bathroom was cracked, dented, or peeling, you could tell the house had experienced a lot of wear and tear. The kitchen wasn’t stocked for cooking; no blender, hardly any bowls or utensils, no hot pads for using the oven, and no grill. Both mornings we woke to ants all over the kitchen counter, despite cleaning up from the nights before. Advertised as being quiet and private but the house is located on a Main Street where cars drive up and down all hours of the night, right outside the master bedroom. The outdoor shower setup was a saving grace, we enjoyed that as well as the porch and chairs

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: over all very good the fridge as a ice maker problem that cause a leak. place is nice. they propose some extra day to stay and when we try to extend 2 days we never have and reply from them ( only negative of the stay)
