A welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable host greeted me shortly after I made reservations. Everything was laid out up-front in the check-in contract, so no surprises at checkout! The property was absolutely beautiful, and there was more than enough room for me and my 7 friends/family members while we were there. The cabin (and it's a REAL cabin) was in great shape - clean, well-maintained, and with everything you might need down to dryer sheets. All beds were clean and comfortable, and every device we used there worked very well. The fire pit in the front yard got some good use, and organizing for checkout was simple, quick, and easy. We can't wait to come back to Clyde's Cabin next year, for a beautiful, fun, and restful stay!

We loved our stay at Clyde's Cabin for my husband's birthday weekend. The layout was perfect for our children to share rooms downstairs with the primary bedroom upstairs so we didn't wake anyone up when we made coffee in the morning. There were many thoughtful touches in the cabin that made our stay more comfortable, like the wonderful fire pit set on the edge of the forest and the beach towels that we used after kayaking at Moccasin Creek State Park nearby. My nine-year-old loved the toys, games, and coloring books.

Weekend Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay in the cabin. Great communication with the owner. Our kids loved playing in the snow around the house. They loved the downstairs openness with the toys and bunk beds. They all had so much fun. Everything was so clean and was supplied with all our needs. We enjoyed making a fire and catching up on our shows. The master bedroom was amazing. The bed and cleanliness was beyond my expectation. I have never stayed in a rental home that wae so clean and felt clean. It was great. Would love to stay again.

Wonderful Vacation!

This cabin was beautiful and in the perfect location for lots of waterfall hiking! The house was big enough to comfortably sleep our family of four plus another couple, with privacy for everyone and separate restrooms. I especially liked the large kitchen and the fact that there were two living rooms for everyone to spread out after a day of hiking!

Great Stay

Overall it was an amazing weekend. We really loved the house, the layout was perfect for our group. The house was clean and the smokeless fire pit was awesome for the cool evenings. The property manager was prompt in responding to all my questions and very considerate and professional.

Everything You Need

Our stay at Clyde’s Cabin was everything we were looking for. I loved the property, the view, and the location. Everything felt expertly curated, from the cute decor, to the toys and games for the kids, to the record player, and the fully stocked kitchen. I really appreciated that everything we needed was provided, including laundry detergent and even spare batteries! Lauren was also super informative and helpful. It truly felt like I was staying with family, even from the moment we walked in the door. I really enjoyed feeling at home while on vacation. I would 100% stay here again. If you happen to be on the fence between this place and another, I would choose this one!

Fun Times in Tiger

We had a great time on the property. There was a alittle issue with the lock at checkin but the owner was able to help us out quickly and easy. We had two familys staying. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Kids had a blast with all the games and outdoor activities. one of the kids even requested we make this trip an annual event they had so much fun.

Family Weekend getaway

My wife and I have been coming up from Savannah to Rabun County multiple times a year for the past 4 years. We love the area and it is a nice break from the heat of south Georgia. This time we arranged for my daughter, her husband and our grandson to come along with our son for a complete family getaway. We haven't done this since my son/daughter were in college. The owner had thought of everything you might need during your stay with a completely stocked kitchen. She even had a high chair for my grandson and a baby gate to keep him upstairs. The cabin was clean and comfortable and we loved it. Clayton is a wonderful town for shopping and great food opportunities. We plan to come up again soon!

Even Better Than Expected

The listing pictures don't do Clyde's Cabin justice! It was easily the cleanest, most comfortable, well-stocked rental any of us had ever stayed in. We loved that it was tucked away in the woods at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. There was plenty of places for us all to gather together and also to spread out to enjoy a quiet moment. Lauren was so easy to communicate with and even gave us some recommendations of places to go during our stay. I would recommend anyone to stay at Clyde's Cabin and more than several of us talked about coming back to stay with our spouses. It was the perfect way to spend my 40th birthday!

Incredible!

Our family was privileged to stay at Clyde's cabin for a much needed time of rest and adventure and we all loved every minute of our week stay. The cabin is homey, welcoming, very clean and stocked with all the things you need! There are beautiful spaces all around the cabin, for quiet and for gathering. We slept great in very comfy beds, enjoyed mornings by the fire, spent the days hiking and exploring, and spent the evenings at the fire pit gazing at tiger mountain and all the trees beginning to change color. The kitchen and laundry room are wonderful and very helpful in tending to the family. The record player and coloring books and kids toys were very nice touches. The house is decorated in local decor and is so cute. This was a dream getaway! Thank you so much.

Great family vacation

There is a lot of thought and car put in to this place to make sure a family has all they need. Toys for children, dog items and frests for the dogs, charges outside the patios. There was games for all ages. Our family was blown away by how "homey" this cabin felt. We will book it again for a longer stay. O

Great cabin!!

We loved everything about this cabin. It was very spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything you could need. I loved the 2 large living areas with plenty of seating for large groups. We will definitely try to book again.

We have stayed in lots of vrbos and for the price point this place is the best we have ever stayed. The house is immaculate with lots of room and I have never come across a house with so much in stock in the kitchen. If you are thinking of staying in the area this is place to stay

Summer vacation

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your lovely cabin and especially to bring our furry along that can’t be left behind! It was a perfect stay for us! It was very clean, spacious and updated. Had everything we needed for our trip and more. The kitchen was well stocked, and beds were comfortable for us. Sheets and towels were very nice. It was decorated beautifully and felt like home away from home. It was an easy road to drive up to and so close to downtown Clayton. It was located in an upscale neighborhood with homes on very large pieces of property. Although in a neighborhood it was extremely quiet and peaceful. There are woods all around it and no view of any other homes. You have a view of a small mountain from the front porch. The firepit area was so much fun for our family S’mores night! We would highly recommend!! We have family that has just moved here to the area and would love to stay here again when we return to visit!!

Clyde’s Cabin - Great Getaway!

We chose this place for a quick getaway and was surprised at the beauty of Clyde’s Cabin. He is one lucky little dog! It exceeded our expectations on all points. You feel your are right at home the moment you walk-in. Online description is an understatement of what you will experience. Loved the turntable and old albums. Thank you to our host for the personal phone call beforehand and attention to detail throughout our stay. Cabin is convenient to everything you need for a private or family gathering. Cozy Cabin close to everything you need

We had an excellent stay at this property! We were within 15 minutes to amazing food options, wineries/breweries, and outdoor fun. The house has incredible amenities including kitchen appliances, outdoor entertainment, a grill and more. This is a great option for a getaway for a family or group of friends. The house has plenty of space to spread out or enjoy together. We definitely intend on staying at this property again.

We're the McCabes - we can't wait to welcome you to our Cabin! Our family calls Southwest Florida home, but our hearts are in the Northeast Georgia mountains. We love to start our mornings at Clyde's Cabin on the front porch, savoring views of Tiger Mountain with a cup of coffee in hand, and we usually end our days with a family fire out in the firepit or the cozy living room.

So then...who's Clyde? Clyde is our French Bulldog, who has also taken to the GA mountains! He loves a good hike, takes cold drinks from waterfall streams, and enjoys all the nature smells at "his" cabin. Clyde lives his best dog life in the GA mountains!

Our family loves creating memories at Clyde's Cabin - we hope you'll stay at our place, and love it as much as we do!

Clyde's Cabin sits atop a hill on 1.5 acres with vista views of Tiger Mountain and the range beyond from the front and beautiful wooded views from our 2-story back decks. 3 bedrooms & 2 living rooms provide lots of indoor space for your family or group. Our place is super-spacious and cozy and we've taken extra care to include just about everything we think you'll need to love your stay. There's indoor and outdoor games and activities, a fully stocked kitchen, Smart TVs, and yard space to run and play. We're 10 minutes from downtown Clayton, and close to Lakemont, Dillard, and Highlands. This beautiful area is home to tons of hiking, beautiful waterfalls, outdoor adventuring, vineyards, breweries and more. We think you'll love your stay at Clyde's Cabin!
