Many of the light switches did not work and other areas that should have been lit (backyard patios and the path down to the pool) did not have lights. There were plumbing issues - the shower in one of the master bedrooms was unusable because it had a fetid odor diffusing from the drain so we had to cover it with a bath mat as a seal. Two first floor doors (both onto bedrooms) had broken door handles (one literally fell off and the other was swinging on its hinge) and could not lock leaving us feeling very unsafe. Other doors had locks but no handles on the outside to facilitate reentry. The pool is SHARED between multiple neighboring houses. The stove did not work in one of the villas. The second floor railing is not safe for small children because of the size of the gap between the bars. The railing on the roof deck is also just a log wedged below the top making it about knee height (this is a third floor roof deck so extremely dangerous). The water heater vented into a closet off the kitchen. The internet was not fast enough to use - to submit my photo documentation to VRBO I had to leave the property to get a better signal. I reported these issues to the property manager multiples times AND to VRBO on four separate occasions during our 5 night stay and these issues were never addressed. In addition, you can imagine that it was dingy and poorly stocked in terms of kitchen, linens, beach supplies.
