Come & enjoy our cozy Emerald Retreat on the beautiful Mt Morris chain of lakes. Pontoon Rental.
We are nestled on a peninsula between Morris & Emerald Lakes, just steps from the water on 2 sides. Our home has 2 bedrooms with views of the lakes, 2 full baths, open concept kitchen with island, dining area & living room with large windows & a patio door overlooking Morris Lake. You will love the screen porch with views of both Morris & Emerald Lakes. The screen porch includes a table, 4 chairs & a dorm size frig.

The Mt Morris chain consists of 5 lakes covering 172 acres, Morris Lake is a full recreational lake with the other four being no wake lakes. You will find it to be an all around great lake, with something to offer everyone. We have a pier on both Emerald & Morris Lakes, We recently rehabbed our shoreline on Morris Lake, installing 4 concrete steps for easy water entry. Included are 2 kayaks, 2 pedal boats & a canoe, an assortment of life jackets are provided.
We have a hammock lounger, for those afternoon naps and 2 zero gravity chairs to kick back in.
We have a Weber charcoal grill & a small Weber gas grill, and a fire pit with wood supplied.

We are a short walk from the Trading Post Bar & Grill and The Mill Coffee & Ice Cream Shoppe. For winter lovers, we are a 5 minute drive from Nordic Mt Ski & Tubing hill, snowmobile trails are close by. There also groomed cross country trails at nearby Willow Creek & Kusel Lake parks

For the golfer, Waushara Country Club with 27 holes, and Two Oaks with 18 holes are located 7 miles away in Wautoma, want to enjoy a less formal round of golf try Marlinks Golf Farm, a nice little par 3 course about 10 miles away.

In nearby Wautoma you will find supper clubs, family restaurants, fast food, 2 grocery stores, marinas, and gas stations. Doggers Bar & Lanes also in Wautoma is a great place to spend a rainy day. Wild Rose is also about 7 miles away with a grocery and liquor store, gas stations and bar/grilles.

This property is great! The views of both lakes from any where in the house are amazing. The check in was easy and the owner was very communicative. The house itself is incredibly clean, and it feels comfortable and homey. The kitchen was well stocked, it was very easy to cook all our meals. We would definitely stay here again. Mt. Morris and the lakes are one of our favorite vacation spots, this house was the perfect place to enjoy them!

Perfect location and amenities

My friend and i came for a few days for kayaking and relaxing- i didn’t realize we had one lake in front of us and one behind us. Absolutely stunning views from every room! The kitchen had everything we needed and the Roku was great for a rainy afternoon or nighttime. The coffee shop nearby was wonderful for breakfast and coffee and also had a great little library. I can’t recommend this location and this home enough- wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Very clean, very cute fight on the lake. Location is fantastic and lots water toys. Recommend renting pontoon.

Great summer getaway

My husband and I took our parents to stay for a long weekend at the cottage. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The cottage was very clean, Karen was quick to respond to any question, and she even rented us her pontoon for our stay which was really enjoyable. A cute and charming place and we won't hesitate to stay again!

Perfect Getaway

Beautiful cabin on a small clear lake. Cabin was filled with everything you would need!!! We enjoyed kayaking, canoeing and paddle boat rides. Kids jumped off the dock. Host was great - we will definately be back.

Great Northwoods Gem!

The cabin/house has everything you may need for your stay! We enjoyed having the dock for our boat & Karen kindly moved their boat to accommodate. We enjoyed ALL the amenities - paddle boats, canoe, kayaks, fire pit, screened porch, swimming. We caught so many fish on this lake! We will definitely be staying again!!

Perfect Retreat

It was even more beautiful than the pictures! Stayed four nights and it was incredibly relaxing. Wish I never had to leave. The one thing I would have done different is I would have also rented the pontoon boat.

Can't wait to go back

The home was comfortable, clean, and had plenty of amenities. From the utensils and spices in the kitchen to fishing poles and inflatables in the garage, 3 kayaks, canoe, paddle boats. It was pet friendly and our dog, like us humans, felt instantly at home there. We are already talking about going back to this location next summer. The access to and views of 2 different lakes was a lovely bonus. We fished, kayaked, had bonfires, watched beautiful sunsets, and made lasting memories.

Peaceful family getaway

Home is nicely updated and perfect for families. It had everything we needed to enjoy our week away. Property is beautiful and surrounded by lakes. We enjoyed a lot of time on the water whether it was in the boat, paddle boats, kayaks, or on the dock. Loved that we were close to the channel to the other lake that our kids (young) could go to on their own. Coffee shop within walking distance was great for morning walks. Nearby county parks have nice walking trails and a playground area. Home is also well set up for dogs so even our pooch was comfortable. So many nice amenities that I didn’t have to think about having to bring stuff. It was great to sit back and enjoy. Karen was very responsive to questions and ensuring our stay was going well. Loved our stay!

We have been renting lake cottages for over 40 years and this one is our favorite!! ALL of the furniture is nice (not worn) and comfortable. The decor is cute and homey. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, some seasonings and oils. The pots seem fairly new. The cottage was spotless when we checked in. We didnt bring our dog but there is a crate with a big comfy bed in it if you bring your fur baby. The lake is very weedy but by the pier and steps it looks like a nice swimming area. Sadly the weather wasnt good enough for us to take a dip. My husband had fun catching northern and pan fish. We had our little fishing boat with us so we toured the lakes in that. There is a pontoon available for rent. It could use a little TLC as far as the cushions go but its great to have as an option for a nice sunny day. Karen is a wonderful host! She goes the extra mile to make sure her guests have a nice stay. Dont forget to hang out on the little screened porch! I cant wait to go back!
