We read the other views and had a few concerns, but were optimistic about Flatcreek Lodge. When we arrived, we found the place to be exactly what we had seen and were delighted with our experience. Yes, the shower in the main bathroom was a little shorter than one would want, but that didn't matter to us as there were more important things to focus on (like hiking GNP!!). Flannel sheets are only on the twin beds and not the others. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed. Living room is a bit small, but it was just two of us so not an issue. Though if you have a larger party, it's worth thinking about. The porch looks out on to Big Mountain so the view is beautiful! Reports of no A/C were right, but it's Montana people, come on. Most places there don't have an a/c. We were pretty lucky that the weather cooperated and it wasn't too hot. even when it was, we opened the windows and they had plenty of fans.
The one downside is that it outside of Whitefish so it takes an extra 15-20 minutes to get to the place once you clear Whitefish, but we were okay with that.
Great place overall. The management team isn't the most responsive team and even when I asked for checkin details their response was "we already emailed them to you." Great. That was 4 months ago. Appreciate the focus on good customer experience (insert eye roll here). Other than that, good experience overall.
Would likely stay here again.
