I really enjoyed my stay. I would gladly come back here again. Instructions and how to interact with the property was simple and easy to follow. The city is close, places to eat, and hike all within a short drive.

The views were amazing! This house was the perfect rustic setup for 3 guys for a pre wedding stay. They enjoyed and appreciated the fire pit and and the houses history. Definitely a return trip willBe planned!!

This is a beautiful property for those wanting to escape into the woods but only have a 30 minute drive from town (and the airport). The interior of the cabin is thoughtfully decorated and has everything you want (no wifi though cell service was fine). The surrounding woods are gorgeous and extremely private with great hikes outside your door. It was perfect for our Fall Virginia trip.

Birthday celebration

We celebrated my Mother’s 80th birthday with a trip to the surrounding area. The cabin was great with a fantastic view. The only downside was both bathrooms and bedrooms were on the second floor. This was a little challenging for a couple of the guests. We were able to get up the steep gravel drive in a minivan. It was a little difficult when wet, but no problems when the road dried out. The area was quiet and very peaceful. I would stay at the cabin again.

Beautiful views

This was our second stay at the cabin. We love the cozy cabin and the veiw from the porch. The cabin is well stocked, has comfortable beds, plenty of fire wood, and very clean. Our favorite thing about staying there is the hiking trails.

Amazing place but in desperate need of updating…need more seating, newer cushions, blown light bulbs replaced and the oven cleaned so it doesn’t smoke.

As always with this owners properties, they are clean and immaculate. Everything you need is provided, (even firewood for fires). The cabin is gorgeous, with awesome views. We will be back , again !

“Best cabin on the mountain”

The Overlook Cabin was so much better than we expected. The property is extremely quiet and the view is incredible. The cabin is very old but very comfortable and nicely decorated. There are numerous wineries in the area and great food nearby. Communication with the owner was great. Would definitely recommend.
