You will be renting the 3 bedroom cottage, very large, fenced yard for your pet. Relax at this quiet, peaceful place with year round trout stream. Minutes from the breweries and wineries on Nelson 151. Plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. The George Washington National Forest is across the street for exploring, hiking and hunting. The house is only 4 miles (10 min drive) from Crabtree Falls (please note VRBO says it is a 15 min walk and this is NOT true) and several minutes from the Appalachian Trail access. Wintergreen Resort is 12 miles away. FYI security cameras located above entrance door to home and cameras around pond areas.

Quiet, comfortable, clean, beautiful, well-stocked, and best of all- a huge fenced-in yard that my dogs absolutely loved. My dogs aren't outside listeners so it's possible to actually relax when there is a secure fenced area. This place is definitely on the list for future getaways!

This property is absolutely gorgeous with the mountains and streams! The home is set up perfectly and is dog friendly with fenced yard! We definitely appreciated the treats the first night we arrived. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was so beautiful. We loved all the art work as well. The rocks set out for signing was a great idea! Thank you for the use of your home.

all the comforts of home

The home was lovely and I have never seen a VRBO so well stocked with anything you might need. Everything was provided. The creek is a soothing sound and the dogs just loved the yard! Close to some great trails. Very gracious hosts.

Home and property were clean, well maintained and most of all, calming! Listening to the water out front, watching the birds in the backyard and having a secure, fenced in, large yard for the dog to run was great! A great, accommodating home!

Great weekend getaway!

A great house in a great location! Really big fenced in yard that the dogs loved. This house was more equipped/stocked than any other VRBO we have ever been to- you can tell the owners really care about visitors. Nice quiet location where you can hear the stream if you open the windows. Comfortable beds, very clean- great amenities! Can’t wait to stay here again.

Birthday Weekend Getaway

Rented out this little cottage for my daughter's 15th birthday celebration and it was the best rental we have ever stayed at. The details in the home were perfectly set, from the medicine cabinet to the fully stocked kitchen. There was absolutely nothing I could have brought with us that wasn't available already. Waking up to the sound of the creek, looking at the mountainside from the porch was next to perfection. This cottage exceeded all of my expectations when looking for a retreat from society. I recommend this property to anyone seeking to connect with nature and enjoy a peaceful weekend! Also, the yard was AMAZING!

Wonderful Mountain Getaway!

We absolutely LOVED everything about this property. The owners thought of EVERYTHING to accommodate you on your trip in the mountains that you may forget to bring! All the small gestures were appreciated. The location on the creek was so peaceful, the property was fun to explore with the kids when we were not at Wintergreen on the slopes! Definitely will be back!

A Hidden Gem in Tyro, VA!

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming cottage in Tyro, VA! The property is a true retreat, with a tranquil stream running through the yard and a spacious, fenced-in area that was perfect for enjoying the outdoors in privacy. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The highlight was definitely the serene surroundings. Waking up to the sound of the stream and spending evenings in the large yard made us feel completely disconnected from the hustle and bustle—exactly what we were looking for. One thing to note: cell service in the area is very limited, so make sure to download the address and key box code in advance. While this could be a drawback for some, we saw it as a blessing—it encouraged us to truly unplug and immerse ourselves in nature. Overall, this cottage is a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to return. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful escape or a cozy base to explore the beauty of Tyro, this place is perfect! Highly recommend!

Wonderful Mountain Getaway

We had a wonderful stay here. The host was great to us in making our stay go smooth with out any problems. The area was beautiful and the nice large fenced in yard was great for our dogs to explore. The whole property was VERY well maintained inside and out, comfortable accommodations and supplied with everything we needed to feel home away from home. We wouldn't hesitate to book again anytime of year!

Appalachian Spring

This was a beautiful and quiet setting perfectly located for our interests which were hiking the Appalachian Trail, exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway, and enjoying a day trip to Thomas Jefferson’s home at Monticello. The property was clean, well laid out, and functional. Communication was clear. We had a wonderful stay.

The house and amenities were exactly as described and very clean. I didn’t realize that it had a fenced in yard and that was an added bonus for my pup. She had a wonderful time and she found the crate of toys to be a nice surprise! The sound of the creek was so relaxing and peaceful and could be heard from all around the house. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay we truly enjoyed ourselves and we thank you for allowing us to stay in your home!

The bees made it so couldnt really sit on patio, but that's nature sometimes! Well stocked, organized and clean. House and yard looked well kept.
