2 day minimum and 7 day maximum stay-Nestled in trees next to the George Washington National Forest secluded in nature. Large covered porch to sit and enjoy the sounds of nature. Indoor fireplace, large yard with a fire pit. The perfect place for a weekend getaway or week long vacation. Lots of outdoor experiences and beautiful views. Perfect cabin getaway for hiking, fishing and exploring nature and all Virginia has to offer. 15 minutes from Harrisonburg and JMU. Just a few minutes away from Riven Rock Park and Switzer Lake. Brandywine Lake 20 minutes drive.

You must add your pet to the guest list, there is a $25 fee per stay. We are not near the interstate. You will be about 15-20 minutes from I81 and the nearest City. This cabin is a small (640sqft) yet comfortable space at the foot of a mountain. You will travel up a gravel road to the private driveway with plenty of parking space.In winter months if there is snow tou will need 4WD. It has a queen bed in bedroom one and two twins in bedroom two. The living room has a full sleeper sofa. This cabin uses a cistern for water source, its filled with filtered water. We supply water bottles for drinking. No washer or dryer.

Kitchen essentials, pots, pans, dinnerware, salt, pepper and cooking oils.

Smore supplies for the fire pit.

Indoor fire logs for the fireplace.

Charcoal grill.

Smart TV and xfinity flex (no cable)

We have board games inside, croquet and cornhole boards outside as well as a awesome outdoor fire pit. There is a small convenience store nearby but you will need to travel to Harrisonburg for bigger shops. Harrisonburg is about a 15 min drive from the cabin. Massanutten resort is 28 miles away. About a 40-45 minute drive

The cabin was super charming, clean and at great location. The host was very attentive , informative and caring. She always responded quickly to every message, provided us with great directions how to find the house and even surprised us with welcome package that left our hearts marked. Would definitely come back!

Had a great getaway with our 2 dogs. Was a very relaxing, and quiet place to stay. Was close to many hiking spots. Downtown Harrisonburg is only about 20 min away with all your food and entertainment needs.thanks for a great place to stay with our fur babies

Cabin was easy to find and so cute and cozy. Perfect place for two humans and two dogs to relax. Loved reading my book on the porch and the queen bed was very comfortable.

A lovely getaway!

The location of the cabin was ideal for hiking and exploring downtown Harrisonburg. The house was clean & well-stocked with extra goodies! The host was communicative and instructions were clearly outlined. Would recommend staying here- thank you!

Beautiful Cozy Getaway

The cabin was nicely decorated and easy to find. The host was very responsive and sent helpful directions and instructions ahead of time. There are lots of amenities not found in other cabins. This was a wonderful place to stay for our anniversary, cozy and quiet. I highly recommend and will definitely book again when I’m back in the area.

Wonderful nature get away

We were highly pleased with the cleanliness, amenities, and communication of the host. Perfect area, secluded yet many things to do hiking, fishing, etc & convenience store close. Dog friendly. Need to stay longer next time! 10/10 highly recommend.

Peaceful and relaxing

We recently stayed in this cozy cabin in the woods to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you need to relax and get comfy. Hiking trails are close, and we even found a good spot for our dog to get his paws wet and cool down from the summer heat.Communication with the host was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay, the peacefulness and tranquility of the woods, and we are looking forward to returning.

Cabin is small but was perfect for the 4 of us. We had most of our dinner meals at the cabin. Not a lot of counter space but we made it work. Cabin was clean. The Host was very easy to get in touch with. Only about 15 minutes from Harrisonburg and with I-81 close by we were able to get around rather quickly. We road Skyline Drive and the leaves were just beginning to turn. It was a great trip! Where the cabin was located was very quiet & peaceful.

A Fabulous Retreat

This little cottage and its fabulous owners are a perfect place to relax and recharge . Clean and well appointed it has everything you will need . So close to town you can shop and visit local highlights and return to relax at the cottage. They have games and entertainment if you like to stay in. The host is amazing and very quick to communicate. Dont miss the opportunity to visit this lovely place.

Hi, I'm Sereda.

I have been hosting this cabin stay for the last year. It is our family's little nature getaway from the city. Its a small but cute and cozy stay. We are locals and run a local business in Harrisonburg about 15 minutes from the cabin. Our children are 15, 13 and 5 and enjoy spending time at The Haven riding their 4 wheeler and hanging out at Riven rock swimming hole in the summer months.
