Our stay was a mixture of overwhelming welcomeness, by the farm animals and a blessed mixture of quaintness and beauty. Every corner offered a new adventure. Our two young grandsons had an amazing time interacting with the rabbits, ducks, chickens, turkeys, goats, pigs, alpaca, and sheep. There was a zip line, a pond, swings, camping fire areas, and lots of space to run and explore. The boys even went on a nighttime lantern walk. My personal favorite was our greeter, Wilber (a cat). He became our house guest. Everything about Gabe's Getaway was amazing. You won't wanna miss out.

We had a lovely stay at the farm! The apartment was so warm and cozy (on some cold winter days!) and we loved seeing all the farm animals! Such a peaceful but convenient location, with just a quick drive to JMU and local cave tours. We'd love to come back again!

This was definitely a wonderful little gem. The place was so beautiful and the animals were a joy to see. The owners are very sweet and friendly. It makes you feel like you are on a little getaway. The unique little barn loft was a delight to stay at. Would definitely go back.

The hosts are very welcoming, quick to respond, and made our stay so relaxing! The animals were so sweet and friendly (tip: bring apples and carrots to win them over). The apartment was adorably decorated and very comfortable. We were able to easily cook breakfast on the kitchenette and would highly recommend this getaway!

This place makes you want to purchase land in the area and raise farm animals! My kids kept asking me how we can get more land at our home so we can get animals. My kids were up at 6am raiding the chickens to get eggs. The owners allowed my kids to be part of the morning feedings of all the animals. Its wonderfully quiet, clean, warm and nothing like being greeted by Alpacas when you pull up at dark for check in :)

Great place to stay. Caught a couple good sized fish in the pond, including the 26” catfish which was a surprise. Great place to set up shop for hiking or fishing in the area. A little tight for 4 people, but if you are renting it to stay inside the whole time you are missing out.
For reference, my forearm and hand are 17-18”. The backend of the fish is folded under it due to our insufficient net.
