Take it easy at this unique and tranquil green retreat. Enjoy a plant filled cozy cottage boasting an open concept 1 bedroom secluded home in the trees. Wake up to hens clucking, goats bleating, and tranquil outdoor space and a sampling of French pastries and sweets made fresh by one of the Owners an accredited executive chef. Enjoy this hobby farms fresh eggs, seasonal produce, and gardens, and over 2 miles of private walking trails. Kick your feet up, enjoy some peace & quiet and relax by your private firepit. Enjoy our new greenhouse space with a cozy ready nook and yoga space! Find more than 14 local wineries within 30 minutes of the cottage or a walk thru the arboretum! A perfect way to rejuvenate your soul.
Private Chef experience for 2 people: Breakfast $60-80. Lunch $90-140. Dinner $150- 225. Menu available upon request
Other things to note: Request a farm and garden tour or cultivar experience during the warm months and or weather permitting. During the fall months enjoy our pumpkin patch! ***Absolutely Non smokers only, no smoking or vaping anywhere on premises.***

This was such a cozy little place for a weekend getaway. Easy to get into Gardner for any necessities and a short drive to KC. Was a great place to unwind and get some peace and quiet after the holiday season. Great amenities and just an overall lovely place to stay.

Wow! 100/10. A fantastic stay… Samantha and David are great hosts of this cottage. True farm setting with goats, chickens, turkeys, pigs, rabbits, kittens and a dog. Very comfortable interior, spotless and well decorated. Great pastries upon arrival and surprise fresh baked cinnamon rolls our first morning. We felt welcomed and at home. The Green Cottage Farm is highly recommended and we will definitely return.

Quiet, relaxing, comfortable and THE absolutely best provisions and details of any property we have ever stayed. Well done!

Another nice stay at Green Cottage

This may have been our 4th stay at Green Cottage and everything again was perfect. It is so well furnished and decorated and very quiet and comfortable. The host makes wonderful baked goods for us each visit. We are so happy to have this wonderful place to stay when we visit Kansas.

Green Cottage Weekend Getaway

Samantha and David were wonderful hosts. When we arrived we had a delicious chocolate cake waiting for us on the counter. Place was very clean and quiet. We would love to stay here again.

I am an Air Force fire chief that loves family, food, and our animals! My wife has been a well known credited chef for years and has finally slowed down to play here at our hobby farm. Every year the flowers and garden gets better and having a French chef on the property is a huge perk! Not so much for my midline… 😂

We chose this local for its privacy and closeness to the KC metro area. You can easily get to any KC metro event within 35-40 minutes. With so many wineries and restaurants within a 30 minutes drive and an outstanding golf course Sycamore Ridge just down the road, what more could you ask for. My wife and I are members of the Arboretum and go frequently to enjoy their gardens and events or take the dog an a brisk walk on the many trails.

This property is very peaceful and quiet. We give the option of complete privacy or welcome wandering guests around the kitchen garden or helping with animals.
