Positives: * It would almost be impossible to be any closer to Lassen National Park. Location, location, location!* The indoor property looks just like the pictures. Except for the the bedroom with 2 beds. For some reason the hosts have not updated their property pictures, the bunk beds are gone and replaced by 2 beds side by side.Negatives:* As the reviewer who stayed here the month before stated, the kitchen is this side of basic if you want to do any cooking during your stay. I did not find measuring spoons, no aluminum foil... etc. * This reviewer also stated that there was not the most basic, and easily replaced, kitchen basic: salt. We stayed a few weeks after them and were greated by, apparently, the very same empty disposable container of salt. We had to go to the store and purchase a container of salt. * On the morning of our stay, that we were on the road and not able to repack, we received a message that the heater for half the house (living room, kitchen, dining room) was not operable. Giving that we were staying in October and the evening lows were in the mid 40's this became an issue. We were able to build a fire in the fireplace to keep warm at night. We had to corral all the room radiators from each of the 3 bedrooms to give some heat during the mornings. An important amenity that was not functioning and we got a notice less than 6 hours before check in... Not a reasonably timely notice to guests.
