Church House stands alone and proud on the southern edge of the village of Skelton, flanked on one side by the castle-like, 700-years-old bell tower of St Michael's Church, and on the other by a dairy farm. As soon as we saw it my wife and I fell in love with it, not least for the incredible views over the Eden Valley from the back garden, and the general sense of peace and quiet.
At various times in its history Church House has been a working farmhouse, a post office, and a family home, and it has adapted with a considerable amount of grace and elegance. Most recently, the House was extended with a new sky-lit dining room and entrance hallway adding a modern touch to its Georgian heritage. We're delighted that our guests now get to sample this wonderful place and make happy memories here with their friends and family.
