We had a wonderful vacation at Nick's house on Crystal Lake. Everything was just as listing describes. The house had everything we needed for our stay with our 5 boys. We enjoyed paddling on the lake daily and exploring the area. It is a perfect location with much to do.

We loved our stay! The house was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. Mornings on the water and evenings by the fire pit were perfection, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Great location and close proximity to many family-friendly activities - would absolutely come back!

We were in town for a college graduation.

Great 4 bed/2 bath home just steps away from Crystal Lake. A very quiet neighborhood while we were there with local amenities just a few miles down the road. Great place to get away.

The house was clean and had a nice layout. Kitchen only had plastic plate/bowls. No glassware to reheat anything in microwave, we used paper plates.Pots/pans good. There is one bathroom upstairs and one downstairs, but no bathroom with the master suite. It is at the opposite end of the hall for all the rooms. The master bedroom has a stunning view of the lake and a nice sitting area with plenty of closet space. Each bedroom had the challenge of having enough wall plugs by the bed so that you could have a bed lamp and your cell phone, or anything else, plugged in at the same time. The design and age of the house includes “forced air “ heating so there are floor grates in every room. This allows you to see to the floor below, or above, and hear everything. While we did not need to use the heat, it definitely affects noise levels in the house, as did the plank wooden floors. The house has a beautiful view sitting right on the lake with plenty of windows to enjoy the view and the breeze. We enjoyed the kayaks as well as sitting on the porch and the views out the back windows. Although there is more roadside noise than expected, the house is located close to many things, which is very convenient. Our day trip to Portland was very easy to access as well. The host provided a book with plenty of information, clear house rules and check out procedures. We didn’t have any major needs to communicate, but the overall communication was better at the beginning than at the end.

The lakefront views, kids able to fish off pier and kayak in the lake were all huge pluses to the property. On the other hand- please be sure to read the fine print- one of the two bathrooms only has a tub (no shower), the two bunk bed rooms have no air conditioning, and when we arrived we had to rewash our linens. The house overall was clean but definitely dated- again if going for lake proximity - that’s great. For our party of 8, we ended up needing to check out a day early.

Can’t wait to come back

My daughter and son in law live in Westbrook ME and when we visit we usually stay in a hotel. Never again. The house was everything we expected and more. It had what we needed to make our stay enjoyable including a kitchen with appropriate cookware, two kayaks and the most amazing views of the lake (both inside and out). In addition, the property is near many golf courses which was an added plus for my husband and son. Can’t wait to stay here again.

An awesome home on beautiful Crystal Lake!

This home was just what we needed! It is right on Crystal Lake, which is clean and warm. We spent most of the day in the water, either in the 2 kayaks or on the multiple floats provided by the owner. Sunsets are gorgeous from the porch! The home is close to a supermarket- very convenient- and only 30 minutes to Portland. Neighbors are close but they weren’t there all week so we felt like we had the lake to ourselves. The house is close to a main road so there was some road noise but we could totally ignore it, staring out at the lake or by getting back in the water!

Our 8 year old Grandson summed up our experience with “It just doesn’t get any better than this!” and we couldn’t agree more!! A beautiful spot to watch the sun rise and set over the lake. The Lake House itself is comfortable and has everything you need whether you are staying in for a meal, sampling the local dishes or toasting marshmallows over the fire pit for s’mores. Our host, Nick was very responsive to our questions and got back to us quickly. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend the Lake House on Crystal Lake!
