-New renovated flooring throughout cottage (as of 5/2023)
-5 min walk from our cottage to Walloon Lake Beach! (1 min drive)
-Public boat launch is a block away!
-10 min drive from Boyne Mountain Resort (ie: golf, skiing, indoor waterpark, restaurants, etc.).
-Hot Tub (seats 4 comfortably; can seat up to 6 people; Hot Tub is 1 year old)
-Large white picket fenced-in yard
-Weber Grill (new as of May 2022)
-Party Lights extending from main cottage to Bunk House (new as of summer 2022)
-Hammock. -Fire pit with chairs (1 bundle of firewood & s'mores kit provided per reservation)
-Outdoor dining table (seats 6 people)
-Mini-split in main cottage (ie Air Conditioning & Heat)
-2 Queen Bedrooms with small closets in main cottage (please note bedrooms are smaller in size and cannot accommodate large travel bags)
-1 Bunk House (ie detached structure/3rd Bedroom) w/ Twin over Queen Bunk Bed, love seat, smart TV, corn hole, fold up wagon, beach sand toys, dehumidifier, and portable Air Conditioning Unit. Bring your gaming system and HDMI cord to plug-in to our smart TV to play!
-1 Full Bathroom (located in main cottage)
-Beach towels are provided to guests
-Sunroom with work desk/chair and comfortable seating area with coffee table
-Fully stocked kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, stove/oven, and refrigerator
-Kitchen table (seats 4 people)

-Our cottage is easy access off of 131-N (well-maintained in winter) and a flat and level road off of 131-N leading up to our cottage with flat & level parking

*The hot tub is a great spot to relax after enjoying a day at the beach or skiing!

***For our Fall & Winter guests, THE BUNK HOUSE IS CLOSED TO GUESTS FROM 11/1-4/30, AND WE CAN ACCOMMODATE UP TO 6 GUESTS IN THE WINTER INSTEAD OF 7. THE MAIN COTTAGE SLEEPS 2 GUESTS FOR EACH OF THE BEDROOMS, AND THERE IS A PULLOUT QUEEN SLEEPER SOFA IN THE LIVING ROOM THAT CAN SLEEP 2 IF NEEDED. THE MOST COMFORTABLE ARRANGEMENT WILL BE 4 TOTAL GUESTS AS OUR COTTAGE IS 1000 TOTAL SQ FT.

THE BUNK HOUSE IS PRIMARILY SETUP FOR KIDS to have their own space, but it is not insulated. We keep a dehumidifier running in the bunk house when it is open to guests as well as a portable A/C unit. The bunk house is OPEN from 5/1-10/31 each year for guests.

Walloon Cottage is the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway in any season. Please inquire with any questions regarding our cottage. We're happy to help!

The cottage was very quaint. Loved how close it was to the downtown area, short walk. We brought our 2 small dogs. The backyard was great for them. Enjoyed a small fire one evening. Thanks for the firewood. Had a great time! Thank you!

House was in a great area, just a few minute walk to the lake. Very cozy and clean house. Nice to be able to relax around the campfire or in the hot tub at the end of the day. Host was very accommodating and the communication was great.

The cottage was absolutely great. We traveled with our two dogs and the fenced in yard gave us peace of mind. The cottage has everything that you could think of - kayaks, hot tub, fire pit. We had a wonderful stay and Adam and Larissa were incredible hosts.

The cottage was absolutely perfect. Everything you could want or need seemed to be at your fingertips! The cottage is just a very short walk to the village and public beach. The bunkhouse was perfect for our three daughters to hang out! The owners have thought of everything!!!

Lovely cottage, perfect location!

This was the most charming cottage and a PERFECT location in Walloon Lake. We traveled with our 2 year old daughter and our dog and appreciated the fenced in yard and safe (though still very close) distance to the water for that reason. We were able to relax and dine outside as a family with peace of mind while they explored the yard, and the hosts thought of everything to make the atmosphere comfortable and fun. Beautiful beach, nice playground and coffee/restaurants all moments’ walk away, plus it was a short drive to Petoskey and Harbor Springs. 10/10 we had such a wonderful time.

Family overflow

we used the cottage to handle some family “overflow” at our lake house on Walloon. Location was great as it was close to the main house and offered a great opportunity to walk into the village for dinner at Watershed, BarrelBack, and to hit the General Store

Spectacular hosts and property

Absolutely fantastic hosts and property! Everything was thought of and considered. Beautiful cozy cottage on a private lot in a quiet neighborhood yet centrally located for winter and summer fun. Charming interior, beautiful patio and hot tub, fireplace. The hosts were so attentive and friendly! We will definitely return!

End of Summer Family Vacation

Larissa & Adam were excellent hosts! Their communication and ease of check-in and check-out were top notch. The rental was extremely clean and we appreciated all of the ammenities provided (start-up for cleaning/paper products, well stocked kitchen utensils and cookware, clean bathroom!). Larissa checked in upon arrival as well as throughout our stay to ensure we were well taken care of. This cottage is located just a short walk to downtown Walloon Lake. It was a very easy walk to the public beach and park (even with two littles under the age of 5). The location is also excellent for easy access to major grocery stores and plenty of restaurants. We had a wonderful stay!

Cozy cottage

Overall our stay in Walloon was great. This house, while cute, was not worth the price gauge that we faced. There was a list about 10 deep of issues we faced in 3 short days. Pictures are definitely not as they seem. Outdoors are not well kept, jacuzzi and lights were dilapidated at best, we weren’t informed of a few non working things before arrival. While the owner did their best to accommodate during their busy weekend it still did not live up to the cost. Sadly, they were unwilling to compensate for any of the inconvenience we faced. This home should be valued as an extended stay hotel especially given the one tiny bathroom. If you have more than 2 kids good luck.

House was small but comfortable. It was within walking distance to a very small beach and cute town with restaurant snd general store. Everything was accurately depicted in listing. We had an issue with the dryer while there and host was attentive. Would stay again.

Loved our Walloon stay!

This Walloon cottage was perfect for our family and our dog! Great location in Walloon - easy walk to everything in Walloon Village. Loved the hot tub and the fenced yard. Well set up as rental - had everything we needed - even beach towels and a s’more kit for the fire pit.

Checked all the boxes

This little cottage was perfect for us. We were able to bring our dogs and have the freedom to let them roam around in the fenced in yard. The home is walking distance to the few shops/restaurants that Walloon has to offer. The hot tub was perfect for the chilly nights we had and gave us something extra to do with our downtime. It was also so nice to have such a quick drive to both boyne city and petoskey. Highly highly recommend this stay. The hosts were so helpful, communicative, and left a sweet welcome letter upon our arrival. We have definitely added this to our “must revisit” list.

Great cottage

We went for a quick weekend getaway to break up the winter doldrums! Great cottage in a wonderful location. We did a couple of activities at Boyne Highlands and hit a couple wineries. We had a beautiful walk downtown and around Walloon Lake. The cottage has a large yard that would be awesome in the summer! Would definitely stay again! We had everything we needed for a terrific stay!

Awesome home with such attention to detail!

Loved this place. Very cozy and comfy and the little details were amazing. Appreciated the cleanliness, location was great to go explore. The fenced in yard was terrific for our dogs. The hosts were top rate and very responsive. Would go again in a heartbeat!

Welcome to our cozy cottage nestled in beautiful Walloon Lake Village! The cottage is in a convenient location 15 mins south of Petoskey & 11 mins north of Boyne Mountain Ski Resort, snowmobiling, golf course, Avalanche Indoor Water Park, 5 min walk to public beach, shopping, playground, & Barrel Back restaurant. This 3 bed, 1 bath cottage offers a large fenced in yard, webber BBQ grill, Fire-pit, HOT TUB, party lights, fast wifi, 2 smart TV's, AC/Heat & a beautiful sunroom! Minutes from public boat launch!
