Welcome to this cozy studio—This charming, centrally located private studio apartment in Salem, NH, is the perfect getaway, just minutes from all the action. Enjoy your own private entrance and bathroom, and take advantage of the prime location near Canobie Lake Park, Tuscan Village, and Exit 1 off Rt 93, just 2 minutes from the Massachusetts border. Boston is only a 35-40 minute drive, with mountains and beaches just 45 minutes away.
For shopping and dining, the beautiful Tuscan Village is a short 2-minute drive or a 10-minute walk. Pets are welcome for a $100 pet fee, so feel free to bring your furry friend along!
At 450 square feet, this cozy studio features a stunning subway-tiled kitchenette with a two-door stainless steel fridge, convection microwave, hot plate, toaster, coffee maker, and butcher block countertops. Please note there is no stove.
Inside, you'll find a queen-sized bed (replacing the previous sofa bed), a private bathroom with a shower, and a convenient stackable laundry unit. Ample on-premises parking makes your stay even more hassle-free. Enjoy your stay at Ricky's Studio, your home away from home!

There are 2 exterior cameras installed on the outside, street facing, doors. These cameras are in place to provide an additional layer of security for our guests. The cameras record both video and sound, but only in the exterior areas of the property.
The footage from these cameras will only be used for security purposes or in the event of an incident. There are no cameras or sound recording devices inside the property.

I stayed at this VRBO for a week. It was a studio apartment in essence. Very nice and open layout. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and pleasant. Close to shopping, dining, and groceries. Communication of the stay/instructions were prompt and easy to follow. Highly recommended!

Convenient location

Great little venue. Right off the highway, super close to restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed our short stay in this super clean and modern spot. We had friends about 10 miles north and visited them for the 4th. Everything was so convenient. Glad we chose this place! If we are in the area again we will surely stay again.

Fall Trip

Stayed for the night after arriving to Boston heading our way north to see the fall colors. The studio was as described and had close access to the highway and local restaurants and shops. Great option if you want to avoid the pricey Boston hotels just to get a nights sleep. Just ~40 min north of Logan airport.

Cute Studio in Great Location

Great location in a cute studio close to lots of good restaurants and shops in Salem. Perfect setup for me to do some remote work (internet was great) and visit southern NH for an extended stay. Only .5 miles to bus station to easily commute into Boston. The hosts checked in on me early in the stay to make sure I had everything I needed. Thanks Gil and Henry for being great hosts!!

This clean functional studio had everything I needed for a quick stay with my small dog. There was a nice yard she could wonder after being in the car for too long. The kitchen was well equipped. If I was staying longer I would have needed a stove/oven but since I was staying over night that was not necessary.

Fantastic experience

Home was well setup and stocked. Very easy to follow check-in/check-out process. Welcome goodies were provided. Location is great, tucked in a quiet street, but close to restaurants, shopping, highway. Gil was very communicative and responsive, and seemed to really care about the little things that make for a top notch experience. We will definitely look for this property when we return. Thank you

Easy to access, quiet neighborhood

The room was quiet and clean. The host was responsive. We enjoyed our stay. The room isn’t ADA accessible, but it’s close to it. No stairs, shower is walk in. Parking right by the door. If you have bad knees, use a cane, etc, this would be very doable.

Great location

If your looking for a great location that is private, clean, and has everything you need, this is the place. We did have a few questions after checking in. Received phone calls back within minutes, Gil & Henry couldn’t have be more pleasant to deal with. Positive items were: size of tv, refrigerator, shower, knife set, plenty of towels, washer/dryer, great parking, location. Only negative we encountered was there were no coffee mugs the first morning. They were delivered within hours, turning a negative into a positive! Will definitely rebook next time we are in town. Thank you Gil & Henry for a wonderful stay.

Neat little studio…

Everything was very neat and check-in was easy because the instructions from the owner were so clear. There was a tad bit of noise from either a neighbor or the owner (space is attached to a home and share a wall) one evening and a bit of an odd smell the whole time. Not bad but not pleasant either. Like long after you’ve cooked something and a scent remains but no longer smells like food or maybe like the smell of a puppy that’s just come in from outside. Nothing that should keep anyone away unless you are VERY sensitive to smells and sounds.

Not what I was expecting

The check in instructions were clear & I was provided a direct way to contact the owner if needed, which was appreciated. I've been asked to provide a 5-star review or to tell what could be improved. I will choose the latter since this property is far from 5-star. This is a house, presumably divided into 4 separate units. My unit was a converted garage. It is not a 'one bedroom' as the listing states, it is one great room, which, again, is a former garage. The threshold plate at the front door is loose (and a hazard), this was my first clue that it was not 5-star. We had to tighten bolts on the dining chairs since they were dangerously loose. There were quite a few ants, including in the bed. The plates are plastic. The towels are thin. The garbage is uncovered. The coffee canisters, which we assumed had coffee in them, were EMPTY. Two of them...I mean, c'mon. Since it was a garage, I could see the water supply lines coming in from elsewhere, running exposed along the toe kicks of the kitchenette. The fridge is scratch and dented. The pillows on the bed are the thinest, cheapest pillows I have ever experienced in a vacation rental. The soap & shampoo in the shower are the same product and the conditioner is watery. Everything is just cheap. I appreciate the effort to create a family business, but your listing should be clear that this is bargain level experience.Not 'chic' or 'beautiful'. If you truly want to provide a 5-star experience, consider improvements.

Thank you for your feedback. To clarify, the unit is a studio apartment, not a one-bedroom. Yes it used to be a garage but much like hotels that were once warehouses or something else before that, it has been converted into a studio apartment. We understand that you had higher expectations for $99 a night, and we appreciate you pointing out areas for improvement. A simple text to me and I would've addressed all of those issues within the hour. It's unfortunate that the small dent on the fridge's exterior detracted from your stay but again, we appreciate your feedback.

Checking in was accurate and the owner of the property was checking in and responsive. It’s in a great location easy to get in and out and just to about anywhere in Salem. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable enough parking was also easy and right outside of the door. The lighting in the apartment was very nice. I wish that it was specifically mentioned that there was not a stove however i assumed it was implied when they mentioned there was a kitchen so i feel that’s important for people to know. It did come with a nice two burner hot pot and a very nice microwave so that was certainly good enough for me. Overall this was a very good value stay and I would not hesitate to stay again especially at the low price and the convenience of all the attractions around it.

We had a great stay at this property. It was very clean upon arrival and exactly as described in the listing. "Check-in" was easy and stress-free. One of the most convenient features was having access to a laundry machine, which was especially helpful during our trip.The space was also very quiet and well insulated from outside noise, making it easy to relax and get good rest. The heater worked efficiently and kept the room consistently comfortable throughout our stay. We also appreciated that the TV worked well with no issues, adding to the overall comfort during downtime.Overall, this was a comfortable, well-maintained place that met all of our needs, and we would happily stay here again.
